Creating your own E-juice

An organic farmer friend of mine has been growing his own personal use tobacco for some time now. Has anyone ever heard of deriving nicotine as well as some flavor constituents from natural tobacco leaves?

If so, could they please post a link?

I do know that one of the companies I buy my juice from macerates real tobacco for their "tobacco e-liquid". Not sure if the nicotine is extracted for the purpose of adding nicotine to the juice as well, though.
