Credit card fraud after purchasing stuff from hhv and rtd

I ordered some juice from HHV and some batteries from RTD on 6/18, I paid with a Credit Card which I don’t use very often. Besides the HHV and the RTD transaction everything else are re-occurring transactions which have been booked since month and years without any issues whatsoever.
Well, I got a phone call from my bank on 6/24, they told me that there are a few suspicious bookings on the card and they would like me to verify and authorize them….needless to say, all those booking were fraud bookings….$26.95 from Moneybookers,$1.99 from Karaoke Recision Paris FR <-- twice…. and some more which were declined right away.
Bank closed the card and I have to deal with the hassle to change all my re-occurring payments associated to this card….

I’m wondering if anyone else had fraud problems ordering from either HHV or RTD?


I will send an email to HHV and RTD and give them a heads up what happened with my card.

This is scary. I have seen too many posts about CC fraud and the e-cig industry lately.

I have also read many threads on how to protect yourself. Get a separate CC from your bank with a small credit limit and only use that one for your online purchases. buy gift cards or prepaid cards. There are many other suggestions on other ECF threads. Do a search to read them.

In today's world you have to protect yourself.

might want to check your computer. key stroke trojans are a pain. might not be the vendor.

Yep had close to 5K in attempted fraudulent charges on my CC. Only place I used it in the last 6 months was at an online Ecig Vendor.

I've ordered from HHV three times in the last three months and nothing so far. The account I use most is a joint one that usually just has a small amount of cash in it. My bank is pretty good at detecting stuff like that. It has happened to me years ago and was a hassle.

It has happened to my husband twice..Once we were on vacation clear across the united states..Thank god we have separate accounts..But when i order online i always use paypal...If the company doesnt accept paypal i order from someone where else..

Again- If you have an issue with a supplier or suspect a problem due to a specific supplier- post in their thread or in negative reviews.

Suppliers can not post here and believe me, if I owned a business that someone was accusing, I would want to respond. They can't here.
