Incredibly crafted complex and unique flavors-here are some I tried and my take on them
Louisiana Diplomat
"Cultured but eccentric, the Louisiana Diplomat embodies the light and sweet flavor of watermelon with the delicious yet earthy taste of pecans and the robustness of fire-cured tobacco."
First impression, wow! They did it again! This is amazing, that great real pecan flavor-just like eating an actual pecan-nutty, earthy, lightly toasted, a light tobacco flavor, and then a mild fresh sweet hint of watermelon-subtle, just enough to round out the toasty smokiness of the pecan and tobacco. Leaves an earthy dry taste on the tongue. I'd love to vape this on an early fall day while walking through crunchy leaves-that's what it reminds me of, with that fresh watermelon reminder of summer past. Altogether I'd say that Southern Steam makes some very grown up sophisticated complex eliquid.
The Ol' Colorado
"A steam dominant in the extra sweet but slightly bitter taste of blackberries, with a splash of coffee and roasted pecans"
Wow, this is so different! It isn't as heavy of a flavor as I thought it might be, the coffee is subtle here to me-it just anchors the other flavors, and when I turn up the wattage, the blackberry is rich and sweet and tangy, natural tasting too, and the pecan really comes out then-it is a real authentic pecan flavor! I have never tasted a nut flavor this real and natural in an e-liquid before! Really complex and amazing, this is a juice that would not get tiresome due to it's originality and great execution. Such an unusual combination and it really works, a rich smooth taste with an earthiness from the pecan, a fruity sweetness/tartness from the blackberry-a REAL blackberry flavor, and grounded in a mild aromatic coffee.
Southern Drawl
"A complex and nuanced steam, familiar to Southerners but exotic to all others, the Southern Drawl is dominant in vanilla and embellished with boysenberry, coffee notes, and a shot of the South's favorite brandy, Cognac."
Complex blend- smells terrific. These flavors are mixed so well that one doesn't dominate, the vanilla is the top note but the others almost confuse me since they all come on at the same time, just like the last one it's defiantly not a 'coffee' vape, the fruit is there-mildly sweet, and the cognac is not overpowering at all, but defiantly there, it comes out most on the exhale and lingers. Smooth.
Bananas Foster
"A reimagining of a flambéd New Orleans dessert consisting of bananas, ice cream, dark rum and banana liquer, this rich steam combines candied bananas, vanilla ice cream, toasted pecan, and a touch of cinnamon for a sweet and luxurious finish."
Bottle scent-amazing rich ripe banana scent!
Rich banana flavor-candied bananas just like they said, just amazingly real flavor and room note. Then a little vanilla and sweet dark rum without being too boozy, and that great pecan flavor they do so well on the exhale, once again the cinnamon is very subtle. Honestly I'd think that Southern Steam would give anyone a run for their money on creations of perfectly melded & executed, complex, authentic flavors. Just incredible.
Midnight Coal
"Like an afternoon dessert of pralines and dark chocolate, Midnight Coal is a deeply soothing steam dominant in the silky bitter-sweetness of dark chocolate with a touch of pecan, pralines, and vanilla ice cream."
BTW, this is a light amber colored liquid-not dark as one might expect from the name.
This is a dark chocolate flavor with that tang of bittersweet dark chocolate and earthy pecan, some sweetness but not a "dessert" sweetness like you'd expect from a frosted cake or anything like that, it has a tingly nose exhale, and one thing I notice that I normally don't much is the throat hit on this-it packs a nice throat hit (all of my order is 18mg nic too). It's also one of those vapes that makes my mouth water just a bit. This is like a deep, dark chocolate liquor with pecan and a bit of vanilla cream to round it out. This is a good one for people who want a real dark bittersweet chocolate, it would make a great after dinner and dessert vape, or I think a great wake-up vape, it has that effect of a good cup of coffee-rich, deep, earthy slight bitterness with a hint of cream, relaxing and robust, has a little bit of a boozy flavor too.
What I haven't tried (yet):
Remember the Alamo
"Those who prefer a slight taste of smoke in their steam will enjoy this unique take on the classic flavor. Remember the Alamo starts with the familiar robustness of tobacco, with slight notes of mango and the surprising bite of oak-barrel brandy on the finish."
Cactus Flower
"Sweet and slightly tart with a robust note of smoke, the Cactus Flower mixes pomegranate, berries and the bitter-smooth notes of Southern brightleaf tobacco for a beautiful but prickly steam."
Southern Belle
"Elegant but approachably sweet, the Southern Belle features the classic Georgia taste of peaches and cream balanced with the earthy aroma of pecans."
Pie in the Windowsill
"Pie in the Windowsill captures the juicy, sweet flavor of honey-crisp apples with a buttery flaky crust. Topped with a dash of cinnamon and other spices for a most agreeable and classically southern dessert steam." (People compare it to Five pawn's Gambit.)
They had a Tres Leche Cake that was out of this world but was seasonal and not available now
I also tried the Mississippi Mint, which is good but I didn't realize it was a menthol (I didn't read the description well enough and I'm not wild about menthol most of the time).
