When we were on the Miracle last Aug. we vaped in the serenity area. One bar maid came over and told us we couldn't smoke there and we showed her the e-cig and she didn't hassle us after that, although we did get a few "looks" from some of the passengers in that area. We'll be on the Miracle again in Sept so I can report back after that cruise

Hello and Thanks. This will be our third time on the Miracle. My wife loves her. Over a year and a half analog free. This will be our first vaping cruise.

We just booked The Miracle for Nov. I glad you vaped without any problems. Did you vape in the serenity area?

No, I didnt atempt to vape in the serenity area. Our cruise only had 27 children on board (ya I know, we were really surprised too) so we spent very little time in that area on our cruise.

Will be cruising on the Celebrity Eclipse in a couple weeks. We have 3 vapers in our group, will be interesting to see how strict there no e cig policy really is.

Please come back on and post your vaping experience on Celebrity....our friends will be on Celebrity next month and they're both smokers who will be trying out their e-cigs on the ship.

From what little current info I can find, it seems that Celebrity has one of the more strict policies. They of coarse lump vaping with smoking. I just hope I don't get some ahole that freaks out and calls security if they see a little vapor coming from my balcony. I'll have a full report for everyone when I return.

I hope you enjoyed your cruise. Waiting to hear how the vaping went. I wish more people would realize it's not smoke.

Had a great time. I pretty much vaped everywhere and noone said a word. I spent most of my time in the casino and spent alot of time talking with the dealers and pit bosses about the e-cig. I think they enjoyed not having cigarette smoke blown in their faces as I have seen many players do on purpose.
I had all of my paraphernalia out in the open in the cabin and our cabin steward never said a word.

We booked another cruise on the Carnival Fascination for Nov 15. Plan on using it then also.

Currently on the Princess Website this is the policy. It is under the policy about smoking changes.

A little more education and we will all be ok to vape as I object to being sent to the smoking area as I don't SMOKE!!

"Electronic Cigarettes
The use of electronic cigarettes is permitted in all areas onboard with the exception of dining areas and the Princess Theater. However, should a fellow passenger in the vicinity feel inconvenienced and complain, even after being told the difference between electronic cigarettes and real cigarettes, we will ask the passenger to refrain from smoking the electronic cigarette."

Wonder what I could object to about the passenger that does complain???? hmmm let me think on that one as I have had to leave a few venues on board when the perfume was so over powering.....

Would be worth while to print this out and carry it with you while on board a Princess ship ;)

Hmmm. Princess is Carnival. I need to dig around on Carnival.com and see if that applies to those ships as well, since it seems my quick get away cruises tend to be on Carnival. Gotta love living in Central Florida and having 5 cruise ports all within easy driving distance. :) December will be the first time I have to fly to cruise. But it will only be a one way flight. Gonna park the car at a friend's place in South FL so it's nearby when the ship docks in MIA. :)

The only problem I encountered was in the casino....they were very hard core as far as having smoking "police". They told a man he couldn't use an e-cig at the non smoking table. We've always used ours in the past with no problems....

Thanks for the reply: Did you vape in the serenity and Lido decks? How was the cruise did you enjoy it?

We had a great cruise!....8 days of perfect weather. Nick & Nora's Steakhouse is definitely a must-do! I've finally gotten to the point where I like other classes of ships better than the Spirit class. They've made the main Lido deck non-smoking except for the forward pool. Since our friends smoke we felt banished just to hang out with them. We didn't use the Serenity area....after seeing how they were with e-cigs in the casino we didn't want to push it in the Serenity area (although we have used the e-cigs in that area on past cruises)
