Domestic flights are usually in the 30,000-35,000 ft range, unless the pilot is dodging weather or turbulence. The only time I've ever been up to 40,000 was in the back seat of an AF trainer - not at all fun. There's a big difference in air quality between 5 miles up and 7 miles up.

Yeah, have not payed a lot of attention lately, used to listen to channel 9 on UA all the time. Last week from SLC to OKC we were at 39 on a RJ.

I got this email yesterday...

Jim,
Your order has shipped!
Thank You,
The Vapors Etc. Team

These seemed to be what was recommended so I hope they work out for me! I will be on the Freedom of the Seas early in September.

Hi Jim,

Did you run into any problems on your cruise?

Just giving an update:
I'm on day 16 now without any analogs! Frugal me smoked up all my remaining analogs that I already had, since getting the e-cig in late July. (I just couldn't let the analogs sit there unused!) From the moment I got the e-cig (KR808D-1), my nearly PAD habit declined to no more than 2 analogs per day. I had 2-1/2 packs left, and it took me until two weeks ago Sunday to smoke the last one. No desire for them, thankfully.
It's strange. I never really intended to quit smoking, but heard about the e-cig, tried it, and no more analogs bought or wanted since then. Who would have ever thought that quitting analogs would be so easy? Until the e-cig, I had resigned myself to thinking I would be a smoker until the end of my life (and, probably, a shortened life because of analogs). I had smoked for nearly 40 years. The e-cig has met my need to do the same movements that accompany having a cigarette, and for the nicotine fix. For me, it is truly a cigarette alternative.
I'm looking forward to my upcoming cruise, where I won't have to sneak off to a designated area every time I want a "smoke!"

woohoo .. hooray for you, congratulations!!! And let's not forget that I am on that same cruise with you .. teehee .. neither one of us will be going to any designated area .. we'll be vaping anywhere we want too. We leave in 2 weeks on another cruise and I'll be vaping all over the ship on that one too. Gotta love the ecigs for that. I also smoked analogs for 40 yrs and never ever ever thought I would want to quit, nor did I ever intend to quit. But once I took my first "vape" I never had another analog and never will. I love my ecig much more than I loved my analogs .. and that's saying a lot.

I'll have lots and lots of different liquids with me on the cruise that I'm on with you, I hope you'll try some of them, we can have a vaping party together :) Please send me a PM next time you come online and we can arrange a place where we can meet in Barcelona before the cruise, we're arriving there 3 days before the ship sails.

Stash...
This may be a double post--I used "reply" but it did not post.
I just sent you a PM. I'm not sure how I'll know when you reply, but I'll figure it out. I like having a PM option here. Wish they would do that on CC.
Looking forward to meeting you in BCN!

Hi Folks,
CC user here but not under this name.
I picked up a Smokesation kit while on the Carnival Fantasy a couple of weeks ago and began using it in earnest yesterday.
Hopefully, i can kick the habit after 40+ years

Hi, I found you!

After reading the thread on CC I ordered my starter kit (got to admit that it was the mention of chocolate flavor that did me in ) So, now I'm anxiously awaiting my delivery and hoping that I love this gadget as much as a lot of you do.

Oooh, a bunch of new folks. Welcome to the vaping world! I wish you all the best with this little adventure. Looks like Jackie's on the prowl again!

Yep, it's all her fault that I've probably found a new obsession that is so NOT going to help me save for cruises... LOL

ha ha ha .. <insert snicker here> .. before I got my first kit I emailed the supplier and asked him if the kit would make me stop smoiking and he wrote back and said "a lot of people who vape do it as much as a hobby as they do for the nicotine, you'll see what I mean after you've been vaping for a week". Well I thought he was nuts. OMG how wrong was I .. yes I do love vaping and will never go back to analogs ever, however it has turned into a HUGE hobby for me as well. So yeah, it's alllllll myyyyy fault Chasintrail, and I'm proud of it too LOL. I pray you ordered a good kit and good liquid, if you did then watch out cuz it will become a hobby for you too :)

Timedog - that was a bit tounge in cheek, but in the short term, it's really not going to save me anything. At 1 1/2 cartons a week, I can probably easily spend that on more flavors and new toys for the next month. After that it should calm down...

Jackie - I'm counting on it! I have quit so many times over the last few years it's not funny. The one thing I've figured out is that I like to smoke, but I don't like the cigs anymore. Once I found about about flavored juice - that's all she wrote! I ordered a couple of pre-fills, knowing from what I've read here that the taste probably won't be the best. I also have several suppliers bookmarked that I want to try different flavors from once I know for sure that I'll love this thing. (That's where the not saving me any money part comes in! I know me...) BTW I ordered the RS808xxx (can't remember the whole thing) mostly on your recommendation.

So, Jackie, I give you a huge thank you in advance!

Yea!!!:D I finally have a cruise ship to use my PV & assorted juices...DH & I booked Liberty OTS yesterday for Oct. 17. Never booked this close to a cruise before so last night I was happily filling out info & vaping. Can't wait to try more bars this time...seems we were always in the few smoking bars; can't wait to try out those bars we always seemed to miss, due to those nasty analogs.

Different cruise lines have different policies ...and tolerence levels. Carnival is fairly smoker friendly - they know who pays the bills (drinking, smoking, gambling). Royal Carib. is slightly less tolerant. NCL is pretty good. Holland America and Celebrity are fair-good. Disney is the absolute worst and I don't even think vaping would be allowed. Note: Many of the European lines permit smoking fairly freely. PS A few years back, Carnival tried a 'smoke free' ship (The Sensation). It lasted a few yrs. & then went back to smoking. Reason: This one ship had less than HALF the revenue as other ships in alcohol & casino revenues. Alcohol sales can be the difference between a cruise being profitable or not.

Celebrity is no longer fair-good. No smoking in the cabins, balconies, etc. Basically non-smoking everywhere inside. At least on Royal you can smoke on the balconies but not in your cabin.
