I chose a classic French sweet from the Curieux range, a soft vanilla cream with a crunchy caramel layer. Not overly complicated, it can still be very tempting with its light and delicious flavours.
When opening the bottle, the vanilla scent immediately captivates the user. The aroma is rich, creamy and caramel notes are present. In the nose, the sweetness of vanilla cream blends with slightly roasted notes of caramelized sugar. The nose is warm and seductive, immediately evoking a freshly made crème brűlée dessert.
On first inhale, the rich, creamy taste of vanilla cream dominates. The taste is not intrusive, but I would still describe it as intense. It is not overly sweet and offers a pleasant and balanced experience. The subtle and natural taste of vanilla is immediately recognisable, which is one of the most important elements of crème brűlée. The taste of caramelized sugar is slightly roasted, perfectly complementing the sweetness of the vanilla crème.
On the exhale, the combination of caramelized sugar and vanilla cream leaves a harmonious aftertaste. The flavours are perfectly balanced, with a sweet, creamy and slightly roasted finish that enhances the experience. The aroma's complex yet harmonious flavour profile provides a rich and satisfying experience, perfectly suited to all-day use.
Overall: For my part, the manufacturer's product delivered the flavours as described, with pleasant, flavoursome, creamy and fragrant notes that make it enjoyable to use throughout the day. Granted, this is only the second product I've tried from the manufacturer's dessert line, but I'm sure it won't be the last one I'll be featuring from their range.
