I've been vaping about 10 days now and so far so good. But after reading on the health forum, I'm a little concerned that I am taking in way too much nicotine.

I used to smoke about 1.5 packs a day. That is roughly 30mg of nicotine a day.

I have been vaping about 3-4ml a day of 24mg/ml. If that's correct, I am vaping roughly 72-96mg of nicotine a day.

I have read on here that the average ml a day vaped is around 3ml, but doesn't that seem like a very high amount of nicotine?

I haven't had any symptoms of nicotine overdose, but I don't want to get myself even more addicted to nicotine from vaping.

I smoked 1 PAD very strong analogs. I started on 36 mg 3+ months ago and am now down to 20 mg. Vaping nicotine is not as efficient a delivery system as smoking nicotine. The bottom line if you're not getting headaches or feeling nauseous and have little yearnings for an analog then it sounds like you're vaping the right nic level.

Edit: when I began stepping my nic levels down I had slight withdrawal/ anxiety. I also vape 10 mg in the evening becasue the 20 interfered with my sleep and notice a slight withdrawal.

Welcome reprisal, what you may be forgetting is cigs have chemicals that make you absorb nic much quicker and with more efficiency on the body. Your not getting as much nic delivered in this manner. The levels your vaping are not overboard either :) Currently I vape between 4-7 mls of juice at 4 mg nic but when I first started I was vaping 10-15 mls a day at 24-30mg nic. If your just quitting dont worry about your nic levels in less your overdoing it. You can cut back in the future but give yourself a chance to get used to the new set up :)

As long as you aren't getting nauseated, having unusual headaches, or having blood pressure spikes or heart palpitations when you vape, you probably aren't getting too much. Once you get a nic OD you will know it from the unusual physical symptoms. It's a little similar to that first cigarette that made you giddy.

I've only had one headache in the past 9 days, and on day two I started to get a little anxiety (but that could easily be contributed to being hungover :p) But other than that, just crazy dry mouth and MANY cups of water.

We don't absorb all of the nicotine while vaping (we absorb somewhere between 10-40 percent), so even though a higher amount is passing through your lungs you are probably not getting more nicotine than before.

Think of it this way: if you have ever smoked too many cigarettes then you knew it was too much because you began to feel ill, right? If you were getting too much nicotine, you would feel that.

I promise, you will not get more addicted.

Usually about 4-5 ml. If stressed I switch to 24 mg but that's very rare. When I first began I could care less about the amount I was vaping or the mg. I was just very focused on the first little while of getting completely off analogs. For the first 2 months I was still looking for my analogs and ashtray when I sat at my desk. 1 month ago my wife asked where the ashtrays were so she could wash them  Researchers have found it takes 6- 12 months for the brain to re program/ rewire analogs out of it's system.

Out of curiosity, how many ml of juice do you go through a day?

It sounds as if you're going through normal withdrawal and seem to be doing great. Dehydration is a major concern to us and extreme amounts of alcohol would contribute to that anxiety and dehydration-
"Dehydration is caused by alcohol's ability to inhibit the effect of anti-diuretic hormone on kidney tubules[4], which leads to a hyperosmolar state, which in turn causes shrinking of (by loss of water) the brain cells which causes hangover."
Also extreme alcohol consumption wreaks havoc on nerve endings.
Ya wanna play ya gotta pay :D

Yeah, I've had the hangover anxiety before, so I didn't attribute that to the vaping.
