Yeah I think you're right there. For DIY you can't beat Xtreme vaping. I got some of their 100mg stuff the other week, and now that I've got it cut, I have enough liquid for at least the next year!

Can I ask what you bought? I just got the 60ml, since I wasn't sure if those plastic bottles you get with 125+ ml would be an issue.

Took about 15 days to ship to Alberta. Not great but hey, what can you do. I don't see it as being very likely they'll get caught at customs, given how he labels the package.

I have ordered stateside more times than I can count. Never had one issue, however check with your retailer of choice.

If the retailer has E-CIG all over the package and has NO experience shipping to Canada, buyer beware.

Vapor4Life, Nhaler, IkenVape....all retailers who know what they are doing.

I'd like to add VaporNine in Jacksonville FL to your list -- they sure know how to label the "description of contents" :)

I got two orders from Xtreme. One 60ml bottle of 25mg that I had shipped here to Vancouver...took over 3 weeks but arrived safely and unopened by customs. The second was 250ml of 100mg, which I had delivered to where I was staying in the States and I brought it back, checked in my luggage. No issues there.

The 250ml came in two 125ml plastic bottles...they look like miniature jerry cans. Same sized shipping box as the 60ml bottle. I've cut it down into 500ml of 50, and at the end of the day I plan to get 2 litres of 12.5. Which, including the nic liquid, flavours, and PG/VG, should run me about $200 total.

Oh and I just got another Health Cabin order today. My new KR-808 kits and carts are here! Tearing through the layers of bubble wrap right now!

Just received an order from EcigSupply (US, West) which also had very "creative" and effective labeling!

For those of that had a shipment seize, can you tell me what hapen in that event? I mean, how did you get notice that it was seized? Did you get a letter or phone call??
My shipment in stuck in custums since march 9th so I've asked my seller to check what was hapenning with EMS. She respond that it was seized by customs canada.
I am not shure if they really understand de difference between review by customs and seize so I have called Customs Canada and they told me that they cannot tell if the package was seized because they don't have a tracking system and told me to call Canada Post.
So I've called Canada Post and the lady on the phone didn't had more info but told me that that delay was not normal. She suggested that the shipper should call EMS and ask for details.
Should I wait or instruct my shipper to recall the package?

I would say, just wait till you get the letter from Customs. they will send one, but it will most likely take another couple weeks to get, chalk it up as lost, and if they end up releasing it, well, bonus. but they will send you a letter, its just not a quick response time for them...then again, i have seen things get caught at customs for weeks and weeks, then come through,,,even unopened...this coming from my Airsoft hobby, where its kinda like e-cigs..on the fringe of legal, but not allowed to be imported"technically"

That is the phone tag I was talking about. The correct answer is to call Canada Customs not Canada Post. Canada post knows nothing, other than what is on their tracking system which you can see.

The fact that the person you got at customs said "they have no way of knowing the status of your package" is not true. It just means you got someone who doesn't know what they are talking about.

Call again, and state "My package is held in Customs at XXXX and I would like to speak to an inspector to resolve the issue" if they say or do anything other than connect you with the inspector, try again to get someone who knows what they are doing.

If your package has juice in it, you DON'T want to be calling anyone. Tell them the truth of what is in it, they will explain to you why that is not allowed in and flag your package. Lie to them and say nothing is in it, its a certainly the will inspect it for you and reject it. I would think that might upset them and wouldn't be a good idea to lie.

... as I stated elsewhere on this forum. When ordering from China keep the hardware and juice separate. That way you have a leg to stand on with Customs, well more than a leg than if you had juice in the parcel. If no juice is contained within the shipment, request they do their job and please inspect it and send it on it's way.

Juice orders, well it's like playing Russian roulette. The jury is out wrt how much juice to order at any given time. If I am going to play roulette, I make it worth my while. Not to large to be conspicuous, but large enough that I don't get "frequent" deliveries, because I believe part of their inspection is tracking where it is going..

Switched, I know all about that, but to late to go back now because my box is in Canada now.

My shipper told me that it was seized by customs on the 9th of march which basically is the date that my packaged was "handed over to customs" so that why I'm not shure if he really understand what is the difference between "handed over" and "seized". That is the price to pay when dealling with chinese that have a hard time understanding english...

So basically, there is now way to be proactive and ask them if they have seized the package then. My only option now is to wait wait and wait again for something to happen like a letter from them?

Your only option is to accept that its seized. The letter is a dry read not worth waiting for. ;)

Call the supplier and ask him to reship with the juice separate.

If that's a problem, and you really really want it, pay for it again on the condition you will get refunded when the seized package returns, as it will be sent back (included with EMS, not included with DHL).

Making yourself unhappy over what amounts to spilt milk, or water under the bridge is not going to do you any good. Accept that its gone and move on. On the very very long shot it shows up, you'll be really happy that the unexpected happened

Oh sorry if my reply sounded rude! I didn't mean to, really!
Maybe my prompt reply was due to my "...... off" humor of having to wait and not knowing what to do...
Yes, my order contain juice and battery. It's coming from China trough EMS.
Sorry again!:)
No problem Bud, I feel your pain and frustration. My latest order (from HG) was held up in Customs for 5 days, or so the tracking information said. Next thing I know the mail man was knocking on my door looking for a sig.

I worry every time, especially on the half litre of juice coming. That one there doesn't even track. But I did play roulette with that one and I am willing to accept the consequences. Having said that, I'll be ...... as well, if it doesn't show up.

Hey there. was wondering where you are ordering half liters? I would be interested in ordering it also, but also would wait to see if you have luck...may I also ask what the cost is for a half liter?

Hahaha,

I don't think so Tim. You get the benefit when I take all the chances? :D:D:D

BTW 480mls is close enough to round up wouldn't you think?

well no, I dont expect you to buy it. I wanted to know so I could order it for myelf, as for you taking all the risk, thats already done, I just wanted to know if you actually get it in, if you do, I would consider ordering some for myself. or are you saying you just dont wanna let me in on the connection?

I've had several ejuice only packages "handed over to customs" which ended up in an explanatory letter as "refused" but never "seized" ..
Seized means good bye for everyone..I haven't heard yet of any actual seizures..?

I got a letter the first time..3 months after "handed over to customs" and seller got it back 2 weeks after I rec'd the letter.

The second time..3 weeks after "handed over to customs" and seller got it back within a week of that letter.

Both suppliers resent merchandise without waiting for them to be returned..

When I rec'd the letters and spoke to both Customs agent who signed the letters - they were relaxed..explaining the issues of nicotine non-permissible in Canada and specifically said the items were refused and going to be returned to sellers and that no rule existed as of yet for actual "seizure" of goods..just not allowed to "cross" border..
and I simply thanked them for their diligence..nice and low-key:)
