Vamo,
Yes unfortunately customs has become EXTREMELY strict lately. Picked up my KTS with some kit earlier this week. They wanted original invoice. Which mean 45% duties on original purchase price. Which turns that really "cheap" piece of kit into something rather pricey. I'm still feeling pretty negative about the whole thing. Guess that's why I haven't uploaded my vapemail.

First of all, make sure that there is no description with the words e-cigarette or anything resembling this. When I buy juice, I ask the vendor to describe as essential oils or something similar. For mods use Hobby parts or Metal parts or Electronic Parts. Normally there is no queries on this.

When ordering higher end products, you will normally have DHL or FedEx as standard shipping. Ask the vendor to declare the value below 40Euors or below 50USD. Items then go through customs with no charge at all because it is below R500. I got my GP Paps V2.5 SS and my Kayfun Lite through without paying a cent extra.

Some of mine from Fasttech too. Had 3 orders - (1) Vamo (2) Charger, vivi nova, lots of e-juices to try (3) Batteries - six of them.

No 3 came in first via our little postal agency - nothing to pay. For No 2 I had to drive in to Cape Town. They wanted some sort of permit for the juice - regarded it as medicine! Can't tell you how I dodged that one, but now have the stuff. Only had to pay VAT. No 1 is there, but "not ready for collection" yet. No effort to get it ready despite the distance I have to drive should I have to go in again.
