Joye eGo's have listed cutoff at 10 seconds. In practice I've had some that are 13 seconds but none under 10. Other knockoffs can vary greatly. The Vision Spinner is also rated at 10 seconds and the ones I've had (2) were 7-8 seconds. Rivas were about the same as the Joye batts. Don't know about Kanger's Evod batts (I don't like the button placement :)

I have a few Trueman eGo type batts - replaceable batteries in an eGo 900mAh tube - 11 seconds.

Wow. I was way off then! LOL. Thanks. My knock-off is at ~7 secs (just timed it). Actually, I don't know what in the hell my brand is.

joyetech brand eGos are all 10 seconds. Kanger EVODs, Smoktech Winders, Vision Spinners, and most knockoffs are 8 seconds.

I actually had to send back some knockoff Twists that I bought from DiscountVapers. They have their own DV brand, which used to have a 10 second cutoff, but the ones I just received yesterday (and sent back today for a refund) are actually 8 seconds. It's a shame, too, as the first DV Twists I bought had the 10 second cutoof, were great quality, and only cost $18 for the 900mah.

I may have to check out the Trueman batts that Kent C mentioned.

This is the trueman I recommend. It has a removable head and a removable non-proprietary battery. Good 'Armageddon' hardware for eGo lovers :)

TF1 battery 900mah 9 color with ego-t metal part

The eGo-RS preceded this one and the head was a weak part. I have a few and haven't had that problem but some were reported. The 'TF-1' is a better fit, imo. But I don't think they ever sold the "Variable head". Their 'blurb' was originally a bit confusing and the hot pink type 'clarification' was my suggestion and they printed it word for word

Yeah, I found a on ebay (though I hate to admit it) some eGo batts that I am interested in. They are Trueman and are supposedly 1100 mAh and are only $14 shipped. It's worth it (to me) to give them a shot.

If KC reads this, can you tell me if they are decent batts?

I've always had good service with the company... takes a while in shipping but with ebay that wouldn't be a problem. Here's their 1100's on their site.

1100mAh TRUEMAN-EGO-T Manual Battery

If they look like this you should be good, although I only use Joye's now - because of the short and charge protection and really haven't had many problems over the years - dual coils are not good with eGo-types - see my 'dual coil' thread and I have had many eGos die of 'old age' - some two years old and none under a year and a half. That said, I have two batts for every flavor I have, so they get 50% use vs. someone who would only have one, and I vape about 5 flavors - so that's a factor as well. But many here also have a similar routine and some knockoffs (esp. fasttech) can go at any time - see the threads on them :) and many that aren't DOA or don't make it a week, don't last over 6 months. ymmv of course.
