Ive been playing around with this idea ever since I saw the g-tank. Im in on and waiting on a few co-ops, I own a SGV3 but, I need a back up or a few extra Genny attys to change flavors and as backup. This is not a walk through but its pretty self explanatory, hope it helps someone or gives someone ideas. So here it is.

What I used
CVS Pill (Fob) Caddy: Buy CVS Compact Pill Caddy online at CVS.com
Cartomizer: I used a used CE2. Need the Atty connector and the outer tube left over (if you want a stainless tank). I also used a total of three cartomizer white soft tips. Two for the tank and one for the base. Could also use a syringe to make a tank, I will be trying this soon.
2 Safety Pin: Out of a standard variety pack I used the large ones and cut them at the curve then bent into shape. The negative one is solder to the side first. This came after cutting the end of the fob drilling it out and pressing the atty connector in. It was a little loose so i used tje solder like a weld around the seam at which point I added the negative safety pin. The pin for the positive is poked through the carto cap halfway between the center hole and the edge. After poking it through the end is inside the CE2 center tube that has been cut low with a touch of solder to seal it. I cut a little v on the opposite side where the negative pin is to get the cap to fit. I still have to play with the cap a bit as it seems to work its way up a little and doesnt seat perfect yet. But, for now it works. Using 400 SS mesh 3/4" x 1&1/4" rolled tight enough to fit in the carto hole without forcing. 32awg Kenthal 4 wraps.

Made a quick Syringe tank. Holds 2ml. I have a carto cap in the bottom to make sure its tight. I used the syringe plunger piece for the top. I plan on cutting it down the carto cap a bit and cleaning the bottom of the tank up when I get home. If you look close you can see the bubble rising to replenish the liquid.:vapor:Syringe2ML.jpg

Wow!

Any chance you could find it in your heart to post the walk-through for dummies like me? Pretty Please? With cherries on top?:2cool:

Jewelz, I will make another one and put up a walk through for you. Might be until next week. I want to add two walk through as I also made one out of the larger CVS Pill fob first using...

CVS Pill Fob: Buy CVS Keychain Pill Fob online at CVS.com
Screw and post from RCA connectors: Solderless RCA Plug (4-Pack) - RadioShack.com
Base DANCO 3/8L Beveled Washers: 3/8L Beveled Washers (10-Pack)-88585 at The Home Depot
atty connector carto cap and drip tip.
Tank
End of medicine spoon: Buy CVS Medicine Spoon & Dropper online at CVS.com
Seat washer: Seat Washers for Price Pfister, 2-Pack-80359 at The Home Depot
Expanded ID of seat washer with dremel tool to fit carto cap inside then, inserted it into the cut off end of medicine spoon

**Edit: Tank is 1.5ml**:p might be able to go a little bigger with orings at the threads but, 2ml is to big and no room for vapor.

2nd one made. I have video clips to edit and will post with walk through asap. Should be by the weekend. Interesting side note is the this latest pill fob I picked up is aluminum instead of nickel plated brass. Plus side it is lighter however, its softer and I think some have debated the use of aluminum in attys. This time around I used a dremeled screw post for the negative side that I took out of an solderless style rca connector from Radio Shack.CVS_Pill_Fob_2.1.jpgCVS_Pill_Fob_2.jpg

Been using it all day and no leaks. Juice Condensation will build up a little inside but thats easy to wipe out and will happen on any of this style atty. Leaking was one of my concerns as well with it being aluminum I was unable to solder to the inside of the cap. Fortunately when I drilled the hole for the atty connector I was steady and press fit it in with the vice slowly. I also soldered the holes closed on the atty connector.

The Walkthrough or How To:
Love it or hate it this is DIY At Your Own Risk. Please feel free to incorporate your own methods etc... However, please share them with us!
Video

This video will cover the events that took place on the most recent build from the other night using the aluminum CVS Compact pill (fob) Caddy keychain. Well worth the time. Start to finish was 1 ½ hours. Video is 10:28, sorry for the quality however, its the best I can do at this time. Its taking longer to prepare the video than the actual atty.

Parts List:
CVS Pill (Fob) Caddy: Buy CVS Compact Pill Caddy online at CVS.com
Cartomizer: I used a used CE2. Need the Atty connector and a total of two cartomizer white soft tips. One for the syringe tank inlet and one for the base.
2 Safety Pin: Out of a standard variety pack. However you can use silver wire or whatever might suit you. Just do the research on the material and make sure your okay with it. I chose the safety pin approach based off what I read in the following:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-mods/213659-repairable-ce2.html#post3860286
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...aste-easy-repairable-ce2-tank-cartomizer.html
*optional* Screw and post from RCA connectors: Solderless RCA Plug (4-Pack) - RadioShack.com
SS 400 Mesh: The Mesh Company: Online Shop for Woven, Knitted and Perforated Mesh for Art, Craft, Floristry, Modelling and Engineering ; 32 AWG Kanthal: Resistance heating wire, Kanthal A-1 32 awg 40ft | eBay

Steps:
1. Unscrew cap and remove o-ring (save for later)
2. Place cap in vice and use a 1/4" drill bit through Keychain hole to remove some material
3. Mark the center of the cap from the inside with a tool or pen.
4. Use a small drill bit to start the hole and work it to the center.
5. Put the top back on and use a Dremel disc to cut the rest of the key chain part off flush. I had a small jar of water to dip the disc or part into to reduce heat. (use caution please) This does not have to be perfect at this point as we will be drilling more material in the next steps.
6. Place the part back on the vice. Using stepped drill bit going from the bottom end inward you will drill to 11/32 then stop.
7. At this point you would smooth whats left out with the Dremel.
8. You will cut the CE2 pos post down but leave a center hole for the saftey pin.
9 Make sure your 510 connector fits as not all are the same. You cannot press it in by hand. We will use the vice to press fit it.
10. Press 510 connector in using a vice. I used a dab of flux on the outer edges of the atty connector to help. You might have to turn the piece a few times to get it level.
11. Size up and cut safety pin down to around 3/4" so it will just poke through the carto cap.
as you will see in the video, mine was under 1" slightly over 3/4". Then bend into a slight z almost so it will be positioned offset from the center hole.
12. Trim the carto cap to make room for the negative post. Do this on the opposite side of were you will poke through the positive wire.
13. Before you solder make sure the posts are bent how you will like them to make your connections for the coil and mesh. and solder the air holes on the atty connector and file smooth.
14. Solder the negative post to the edge of the atty connector, I used the longer left over piece of safety pin.
15. In the video you could not see me soldering the positive post but, all you do is set it in the atty center hole and dab it with solder. Then push the trimmed carto cap down into the hole to complete the base.
16. Use a Multimeter, I set it to ohms to test for shorts. If you dont want to use a screw post you can skip ahead to step
17. If you chose to use the RCA screw post. Cut the plastic off. Then cut the excess post past the screw threads (wider part). There will be a hole left to tin. Trim negative post down so that there is enough left to solder the screw post on. Be sure to leave the screw in so that you do not push the screw post down too far then, you would be unable to tighten the screw.
18. Solder the screw post on and bend it to where you want it. Dremel the wide part of the screw post a bit to stay out of the wicks way.
19. The Tank is a 3ml syringe cut to 1.5ml with the needle end cut it leaves a lip to hold the cap. I then used the syringe plunger for the top cap for easy refill. Alternate way to fill is to remove the tank and fill via carto cap.
20. For the top drip tip use the same starter hole and then drill to 11/32. Use a dremel sanding wheel on the inside until drip tip fit snug how you like it. Drill the air inlet hole is 1/16 directly center of the coil.

The wick im using is 400 SS mesh 3/4" x 1" or 1 1/4" rolled tight enough to fit in the carto hole without forcing. 32awg Kenthal 4 wraps for LV 1.5ohms, 6 wraps for HV 2.5ohms. I make the wick just long enough to fit into the tank a little bit. It must have an opening in the middle like a straw achieved by first wrapping around a paper clip. I like Zens video starting at time 2:30 on how to do this: The Zenesis 18650 PV - YouTube

Also I like Scubabatdan's video he made when he ran the coop for his ScubaGenV3 mod.

Hope this helps someone. Thanks for watching.
