Try Google. Being serious. There are tons of places that sell them with varying prices and varying availability. How patient are you? How frugal? One place might have it for $64.99 out of stock while another has it for $79.99 in stock. Just check around.

As for what to expect, it performs a bit better than the RM2 as far as coil heat-up time, but in my experience the paper-thin top cap on the Cyclone gets super hot, super fast. If you're running coils above 0.5Ω you'll be fine. The feed-hole placement is also better for dual coils than an RM2's is if you decide to move into that realm. The building area for your coils, unfortunately, feels much smaller than that of an RM2, and that alone is what ultimately led me to stop using mine. If you're just running single/dual micro coils at 0.5Ω or higher, I think you'll be quite happy with it.

The Title says it all. Interested in looking into a Cyclone for single coil use. Where do I find one ?

Since you already have the ERA/hornet, unless you get the cyclone and AFC... They are almost the same device.

I found the Reactor the be very similar. Personally the stock, single air hole on the reactor is a bit small. I opened mine to about 1mm and MTL, it's hard to tell if I am using the Divo ,the cyclone or the reactor.

I would push you towards the reactor if you have an LP. On a standard...stick with the ERA/Hornet.

Cheers

I sold the Hornet earlier today, though I wasn't planning to. I just mentioned that it had been lying in the tackle box (RBA box) and three PM's came within 30 minutes. I am currently reviewing an older thread that compares the RM2 to the Cyclone. Doesn't seem like much difference, actually....

LOL :toast:

I almost PM'd you as well... But I only WANTED it...I didn't need it.

If you want to do a test drive of the Divo or a cyclone... PM me...

But as you have observed, they are all very similar devices. The SS construction and press fit caps are about the only things that separate them from the RM2.

Cheers

With a standard (no afc) cap and single coils, you're not gonna see a whole hella difference from the RM2. With the afc cap and duals, you've got a different animal. Most (myself included) feel it gives up some flavour and the deck is no bigger to build on, but it does edge you towards direct lung hitting while still being a smaller chamber atty.

Pricy suckers, tho. If you wanted an incremental upgrade in intensity, but are still flavour-first and a MTL hitter, the RM3 (dual version) is a nice progression from the RM2. The RM4 is a nice "middleweight" atty that covers a wide range of vape styles from more aggressive MTL to moderate DL'ing.

When did they stop using those damned hex screws?!

2014. I'm in the camp that likes the older models with the dished deck and the hex screws better.

Thumbs up on hex screws, I've never stripped either the head or the threads, now watch, tonight is the night.

2nd post on this thread is a link to Indy Vapor Shop. It appears that they still have the hex screws on the Cyclone that they are selling.
Correction : It says in the fine print that the Cyclops AFC will not fit on the Reos Grand or Mini 2.1 as it has a wider catch cup. I wonder if that applies to the LP Reos models as well.... ?

I did both on day one.

Cyclone Cyclops (AFC) can only be used on LP Reos.

I picked up the cyclone and cyclops AFC at mountain oak vapor, they both were on sale and were offering the Black Friday discount for both items. I think I ended up spending $76 for everything after the discounts were applied. I use my cyclone with the AFC cap, I tried it with the stock cap and it's good but I prefer more airflow. I run a single coil in mine, and still use both holes opened in the AFC cap, still has awesome flavor and good vapor.

The coil I found that works best for me is twisted 28g, 5 wraps around a 1/16 bit wicked with rayon. It's the best solution I found for my cyclone, it took me a while to actually dial it in and find a coil I liked with it. Now that I've found my happy vape with it, this little guy rocks!! The best thing I like about it is that I won't burn through a bottle of juice in one day using it. I can actually save my juice a little longer and it still throws nice clouds and has awesome flavor. With my rm5, forget about it...I'll be refilling at the end of the day after work.

I'd say scout around or wait until they have more holiday discounts and then pick up both the cyclone and cyclops AFC cap and apply the discount.

+1 on the dished deck and hex screws. I'm a lung hitter, have two 2013 Cyclones and love them on a couple of my Woodvil's with big bore DT's, their air intakes enlarged way bigger than stock, some wire, RxW and two of my ADV's.

Thanks for the input everyone. Using the $100 Gift Card my Daughter gave me for Christmas, which she specifically said was for Vaping Supplies (her exact words were "that stuff you do") I got the Brass Cyclone w/ Cyclops and a wide bore long brass drip tip on order. The waiting begins...

On 1 of my Reos I run a 2013 cyclone with afc 28g 0.7Ω 1/6" id with 2mmReady X Wick single coil MTL hits. IMO it is perfection for how I vape this Reo. Super flavor, rewick/coil every couple of months for good measure and rinse wick/dryfire when changing flavors. Doesn't get much easier/better than that.
