1 Thessalonians 5:6 (KJV)
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
– 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

Matthew 5:6 (KJV)
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
– Jeremiah 33:6, 8

Galatians 6:2 (KJV)
Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Galatians 6:2 - Everyone needs to talk to another brother or sister for prayer for their burdens. If that person needs help, do what you can! A Christian needs to vent, too. Sometimes I vent to Jesus, but keep it respectful. It helps to bear one another's burdens because who knows, next time it might be you who needs help. We need each other to get through this life on earth. Laughter releases endorphins!

It amazes me how the Lord works. I have no idea why I started a study on psychosomatic about 1 hour ago, just finished it up within in the last 15 minutes then read your post and SC comment.

My study IMO: fits right into both of your post, how amazing is God.

Genesis 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

    psychosomatic (adj.)
1847, "pertaining to the relation between mind and body," from Greek psykhe- "mind" (see psyche) + somatikos, from soma (genitive somatos) "body" (see somato-). Applied from 1938 to physical disorders with psychological causes. Etymologically it could as easily apply to emotional disorders with physical causes, but it is rarely used as such.
    Online Etymology Dictionary

    psyche (n.)
1640s, "animating spirit," from Latin psyche, from Greek psykhe "the soul, mind, spirit; breath; life, one's life, the invisible animating principle or entity which occupies and directs the physical body; understanding" (personified as Psykhe, the beloved of Eros), akin to psykhein "to blow, cool," from PIE root *bhes- "to blow, to breathe" (source also of Sanskrit bhas-), "Probably imitative" [Watkins].

Also in ancient Greek, "departed soul, spirit, ghost," and often represented symbolically as a butterfly or moth. The word had extensive sense development in Platonic philosophy and Jewish-influenced theological writing of St. Paul (compare spirit (n.)). Meaning "human soul" is from 1650s. In English, psychological sense "mind," is attested by 1910.

    Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
    – Proverbs 3:7-8

Proverbs 4:23 - I couldn't receive the full meaning, so I went to other translations to gain the understanding.

    Proverbs 4:23 Complete Jewish Bible
    23 Above everything else, guard your heart;
for it is the source of life’s consequences.

I found 2 translations, but I wanted to use this one as it puts it like it is. 'Above all else, guard your heart.' It doesn't mean that you need a cardiologist, it means to guard your emotions, because so many people are ruled by their heart. You see on tv people say, "What does your heart say?" "Go with your heart!" If this is you, that is not a good idea. Why? Because "it is the source of life's consequences." Mistakes will be made that will follow you for the rest of your life. Everyone has them. I know I do. Going with your heart without praying and asking Almighty God, Bless His Holy Name, isn't a good idea. satan is weaving traps for you constantly. And sometimes, if he was successful the first time, he'll wait and come around and lay the same trap as before! I know this first hand! This is an excellent verse!

    Proverbs 3:7-8 Complete Jewish Bible
    7 Don’t be conceited about your own wisdom;
but fear Adonai, and turn from evil.
8 This will bring health to your body
and give strength to your bones.

I wasn't going to go into this one, but I couldn't help myself. I wanted to see what 'navel' meant. Again, I went to this translation. You have to remember, this is Old Testament, and they lived under the Law. Jesus hadn't appeared yet. It must have been difficult....Praise God, Bless His Holy Name, that I was born under the Grace period! That's why they call it 'The Good News!':w00t:

    Romans 16:17 (KJV)
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

    – 1 Peter 3:15-16

Romans 16:17 - I get this one! Yeah! First of all, don't let the word beseech throw you. It means 'beg.' So what this verse is saying is, 'Look, I beg you, children in Christ, to keep in your mind and heart those people who cause division and offences that that go against the Bible, which you have learned; and avoid them.' We are seeing this in today's times. We are being discriminated against. An easy one to look at is Christmas and today's schools, colleges, and even government.

On 1Peter 3:15-16 - I went to an easy translation as I didn't understand having meekness and fear. Today's times, we have a different description for the word fear. Our first thought is safety....'I was fearful for my life.' Fear, here, is talking about respect.

    1 Peter 3:15-16 Living Bible

15 Quietly trust yourself to Christ your Lord, and if anybody asks why you believe as you do, be ready to tell him, and do it in a gentle and respectful way.
16 Do what is right; then if men speak against you, calling you evil names, they will become ashamed of themselves for falsely accusing you when you have only done what is good.

    Daniel 12:2 (KJV)
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

    1 John 3:8 (KJV)
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
