OK,,i have been bird doggin the crap outta the classifieds lately lookin for hardware,vv's and other stuff..

nothin that irritates me more then to see "CONUS" only shipping !!!:evil:

why is that ?? why do you think it is more expensive to ship to Alaska or Hawaii just because we are not directly
touching the [as we call em] LOWER 48 states...
feels like you are perpetuating the lower educated smoking class stereotype

i just went here Postage Price Calculator and shipped a 10 pound package from 99639 to 59102 ,and then from 59102 back to 99639,,guess what ?? it cost me 16.77 exactly both ways in a box less then 12",,not a USPS box either !!

e-bay use to be real bad about this also,,until they got some active brains cells sent to them !!!!
there are still a few that didn't receive any of those brain cells,,sadly enough

how often if ever ?? do you see retailers limiting themselves with that "CONUS" ignorance ??
you won't !! because they actually want to sell their products,,regardless of where they live

and stuff doesn't get destroyed being shipped to Alaska either !!!

now i that have vented,,i hope the dam "CONUS" goes away or adds with that posted get removed

i prefer the latter,,for fairness and opportunity for all US citizens,,, remember that belief ??

I understand your frustration. Because I always saw CONUS in classified postings, I, too, assumed that it was more expensive to ship to Hawaii or Alaska. I've since learned otherwise.

If you see something you want to purchase, you might want to send the seller a PM explaining that shipping costs are the same for Alaska. Most people mean well, but they just don't understand that.

Good luck with finding the gear you want! :)

I have never included that in any of my classified ads. I will ship anywhere a buyer lives as long as they are willing to work with me. So I agree 110% with your point!

And if I can help, let me know...I wouldn't have a problem receiving..then shipping on to you. And I wish you luck on your search !

I used to post CONUS in my classy adds but have changed to US buyers only. I have never had any problems shipping anywhere in the US. I have a had very bad times shipping to Canada though.

that is better, although you are still alienating those not fortunate[or not] to live in the states..

as the guinea pigs of vaping ,,we must all help all of out,,

And that is great for us who don´t live over there. I don´t understand the problem, if I am ready pay for it why can´t people send them to europe or where ever. I really don´t understand the reasoning behind this, can someone explain it, like I´m a two year old?

I would hazard a guess to say that most people aren't comfortable with customs forms, and don't want to worry if shipping certain e-cig related items are legal since the regulations are different by country. I don't mind the customs part, as long as I know it's legal I'll ship it.

That's just a guess, so don't beat me up if I'm wrong.

Now that I think of what you say there, maybe it´s true that filling customs forms is too much for some people. But if anyone who has ever send anything and filled them sees this, I don´t know, maybe they get a good laugh.

About the regulations part that is absolutely true and I think it´s too much to be asked to trust a fellow vaper and ecf-member to be telling thruth about how things are. In general, there is civilization on this side of the atlantic too, just take leap of fate...

For those interested it´s safe and legal to send equipment to Finland. Juices are a different thing, those we have to order from within EEA(EU+ few other countries).

Every supplier I know delivers to Finland. I guess if you try you can find someone who doesn´t. The delivery costs are anything upward from 11$ and takes about a week, sometimes of course longer.

I guess I must be missing brain cells. I thought CONUS meant the United States - all 50 of them!

I too use to think shipping to AK and HI was more (I still think it is via UPS, but not USPS) and when I would sell something that had to be shipped via UPS on eBay I would state "quoted shipping is for the lower 48 - buyers from AK or HI please contact me for a shipping quote".

I do post in the classifieds...
I mail out to anywhere and everywhere, it does not bother me....unless the State/Country is banned, I will not send.

I know for a FACT...
It is NOT expensive when shipping over to Canada, Australia, Philippines...it's the same EXACT price, unless...you're sending it Express, Priority, etc.

I always try to help the members out, if I see a person wanting to purchase something in the classifieds...and the OP is not willing to send it out of United States, I do my best, and I'll try contacting the members and I'll ask them if they want me to contact the OP for them and I'll send the merchandise, I don't mind.
I've done that quite a few times actually :)

I've sent a package to Australia, I had sent close to 30 bottles of E-Liquids...
The total came out to $12.00 for shipping, but then again...there was 30 full bottles, so yeah...the package was heavy, but the buyer was willing to pay for his own shipping.
I've sent another package to Alaska, the total came out to $3.80, I had sent an Inferno battery.
I sent a package to Hawaii, it came out to $2.71 for 2 bottles.
It all depends on the weight of the package...NOT the distance :)
I see it like this...
If the buyer is willing to pay for shipping, regardless of where they live...
I say...
"Your address please." ;)

Hola :)

I personally think that a lot of members that post US buyers only is not so much scared about custom forms, but customs themselves.
Example: I have a black provari w/ extended end cap I want to sell. A person in another country would like to buy it. Once it gets outside the USA and gets to the destination country customs, they check the package. They have no clue what it is, even if they have seen a regular e-cigarette before. Even if the customs form states its an electronic cigarette, and they are legal in that country, customs may still seize it and destroy it. Custom agents are taught to be suspicious about everything, just as police officers are. For them. it's better to take the side of caution. Now the provari is no more and cannot be delivered, the person who bought it will want there money back because they never received what they payed for. At that point I've lost the provari , the cash for the item and shipping, plus possible bad feedback in the forum or issues with Paypal. If I ship it inside the USA, a week later at most it is at there door. No customs to deal with.

I understand the chances of this happening aren't huge, and the odds are in our favor it will make it to the buyer. But there is always the possibility of it, and most people will not take the chance. Just my thoughts.
