I just loaded a mini with Creme Brulee. It totally snuck up on me. First couple hits (ok can't count the burnt coil taste but after that...) I was kinda "eh...it's ok". Kept puffing. A few clouds of vapor later (seriously, I'm using a PT Mini and plumes I tell you!) I'm floored. I guess I CAN in fact taste notes, because I'm getting a little bit of custard, a little bit of the crispy crust, it's creamy...I just. Wow. :vapor:

Mind you, I've never HAD a Creme Brulee in my life. Ever. If it doesn't taste this good I'll be disappointed if I ever do.

How can you folks never have had Creme Brulee? Hahaha. That's just unreal to me. It's soooo tasty and delicious...just your typical custard, but it's the burnt sugars that give it an amazing taste and texture. Get some! Hahaha.

Definitely try to age it out if you can, it really starts hitting it's stride after about 3 weeks from the born on date...and just continues to mature after that. I thought it was good out of the bottle, but it starts to take on even more vanilla properties after a good steep. It's been difficult to resist emptying my original sample, but now that I'm sitting on a fairly new 50ml bottle...OMG, I've been ripping up the original sample! (Born on 2/11...about a 40 day steep, give or take.)

Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Believe it or not I don't think I've been anywhere that has creme brûlée. Even when I lived in Atlanta . I know I have t seen it in West Virginia.

Same here. At least not the places I can afford to eat at. I've tried Starbucks Creme Brulee latte though...lol

Oh, wow, must go off topic. You can make it at home super easy! It's really not that hard to do from scratch, in my opinion, done it many times...the most crucial thing is you don't boil it in the process.

And, if you decide to purchase a torch for carmelizing the sugar (instead of using the oven per the above linked recipe)...it's actually a dual-purpose purchase! You can use that same torch for cleaning up Kanthal and making microcoils! :2cool: (I was totally stoked to have another purpose for my kitchen torch! LOL.)

You really have to come taste my REAL Creme Brulee - the vape is good, but table-side custard with burnt caramel on it - OMG, delicious.

Poor justification for a vape related purchase *starts taking notes* HAH

Man, in ONE day you people have tried to get me to try a dripper, get a REO, and now cook? What have I ever done to you?

If I ever find myself in Nebraska, we might just take you up on that! Though I'm pretty sure that's the one place the Army doesn't station people...lol

There's a navy base in WV. Crazy cause we have a few rivers and lakes but....... And the base isn't near any water

There's a detachment of Marines on my Army Base...that's just strange. No Navy base in the state that I know of, but there they are.

Offutt AFB is in Bellevue - adjacent to Omaha - it's a 'joint' base representing all branches of the military. I gather it's a hard station to get on for anyone but brass if you're not Air Force though.
