Got a sample of Pecan Roll (80pg/20vg) with an order from vaporbomb.com and turns out I liked it. At the time I only had the egoT A atomizers and it wouldn't vape the juice after maybe 5 vapes. I figured the problem was the egoT a cone atomizer and perhaps the juice was too thick. So I ordered the stuff in 100%pg. That didn't seem to matter, as it still wouldn't vape.

Tried it in an echoE dual coil (2.3? ohm effective) cartomizer, same results. Then tried it in a smok dual coil (1.5ohm effective), pretty much the same story.

I cleaned the echoE and put in some menthol (clear) and it worked just fine.

What am i missing? This liquid is very dark, is that somehow the problem? I thought the darkness was just food coloring 'for effect', but perhaps not?

If it is the coloring, what are my options? do i just dilute it (flavor and color at the same time i guess) down with some pure PG?

TIA

I love VB juice. My all day vape is their Cinn. Danish Swirl. It does clog the cartos after a couple of days. I clean my cartos b/c I'm a broke college student and that seems to be satisfying me at the moment. As far as color, I doubt that has anything to do with it. It must be the consistency. You may want to add a couple of drops of water, I never have; but I've heard of people doing that.

Lots of very dark, opaque and cloudy juices are full of flavoring sediment. The sediment gunks up everything - carto stuffing. carto coils, atty coils, wicks. I avoid juices with sediment. Even if I really like the juice, I find another juice.

I have wondered if a sediment-filled juice could be strained through tea bag paper to reduce the sediment and still taste good but I have never tried it.

80PG/20VG should work fine in any carto or tank unless it has tons of sediment or if the carto or tank atty isn't wicking right.

The color is from the flavoring.

Many dark/cloudy juices have sediments in the flavoring. I find that juices with sediments in them clog cartos faster than anything else. Ive been vaping 2 juices alot lately. One is 85% VG and thick with no sediments, while the other is 80PG/20VG and thin but it has sediments. Even though the VG juice is much thicker, the thin juice with sediments clogs my Ressurectors much faster.
So it's def possible that's what's giving you problems. It doesn't make much of a difference if you thin the juice out. If the flavoring has a lot of sediments it will clog your cartos up fairly quickly.

I def recommend using thin clearer juices if your trying to get your cartos to last a long time.
If your going to order dark juices I recommend asking if the flavoring for the juice contains sediments

EDIT: ha I type slow on my phone, by the time I posted dormouse already answered, ha sorry

You won't see the sediments in a juice that's already mixed.

The juice I said that I use that has sediments doesn't look like it has sediments in it at all mixed,
But the bottle of flavoring for the juice is like almost half sediments. It's pretty ridiculous. I have to shake it for like 2 minutes before I make a batch

One member suggests heating a piece of aluminum foil and shake the juice and drip a drop on the foil. After the juice sizzles away, if it left a bunch of slag on the foil then that is what it is going to do to your cartos and coils.

Re why - eliquids use pro food flavors and some have colorings and sediment. I had a heck of a time finding a cocoa-y flavor with no sediment (V4L WOWbacco is what I use).

BTW - obviously not the same but maybe try Velvet Vapor Vanilla Almond Tobacco - to me it was more of a dessert flavor - I didn't really notice tobacco. They have a Pecan pie juice in their Nobacco juices - I never tried it though.

And I have never tried this - Butter Pecan and Pecan

BTW double check the label of your juice. I think Vaporbomb lists VG first and I accidentally bought 80VG/20PG and didn't even realize until I tried to fill a carto and it wouldn't soak in.

thanks, i saw that post a while ago and its probably the cause of everything. its too bad, cuz i really like the flavor. too bad all the juicy juices can't be 95% clear, with just some tracer coloring.

i ran one bottle through a coffee filter, but it didn't seem to catch anything, must be some finely ground sediments i guess.

fortunately someone has accepted a trade of juices, my pecan bottles for some of his others, so won't have to go start a chem lab by buying pure VG/PG/Nic and diluting things.

thanks, but 'Anything PIE' implies sweet to me, which isn't something I can vape all day. I need to find a nice cranberry :) i think V4L has an apple cinnamon cranberry, which should be right up my alley, but sadly i have too much juice to go through before buying any more :(

not sure why their WOW version doesn't come in 18mg though, only the Premium (less vapor/flavor apparently) has the 18mg.
