Users of dark juices, how do you deal with it? I put 3 drops of mt baker american tobacco (great flavor, dark as oil) into my usual ry 4.5 from azure vaping (great flavor, quite clear) and within 2 tanks my wick and coil are already gunked up.

I stopped using this juice in my carto tanks, because it would kill a carto in a day.

So seeing how a lot of you use carto tanks, and some of you use dark juice, how do you deal with it? Am I doing it wrong some how?

Just wanted to let you know I'm here and waiting for this answer too.

I use a darkish (and sweetened) tobacco liquid and the coils used to last, maybe, a couple of days before replacing. My 'fix' was to mix the same amount of unflavored into the flavored. It didn't lower the flavor too badly and my coils now get replaced a couple times a week. Still too often, IMO, but an improvement. :) :vapor:

I use 2 dark 100% VG juices that I have loaded up in carto tanks all the time Boba's and GJ. I personally use Ikenvape Platinum S (slotted) SR cartos and have no problems. When used in RBA's I just change the wick (cotton or yarn) more often than lighter juices and give the coil a dry burn before rewicking.

I just dry burn my Protank coils between tanks of dark juice and they are good to go. Then I either fire the top wicks with a torch or replace them with new ones. If I dry burn around 3.6 or 3.7 volts I don't have any problems with the coils popping.

I use a Vision ViVi nova sometimes, and dry burning on the provari is fun. Maybe it's novel because I use stand alone cartomizers most of the time, and don't have to dry burn often. Something else I just thought of is...since my cartos aren't in a tank, maybe that's why they last longer. All of my e liquid is 100% VG and I do the condom fill at the start, and top re-fills until the thing dies. Which is usually about a week and a half. Smok had made some huge 3.0 ohm cartomizers I wanted to use on the ProVari, but the only place I saw them was at Myfreedom smokes and they sold out before I could order :( Here's the LR version 510 4XL Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer - 1.5 ohm
