So i don't know if this is just me but anytime i make a dark liquid it bunks up real quick on my coil.....no matter if its a micro coil or dragon coil or whatever coil.

Question is is there any way to make a dark liquid clearer? and has anyone played with food coloring? What effects does that have on the coil?

I have vaped juice with food coloring in it from VAPOHOLIC so the taste doesn't bother me. The gunked up coils do.

All my clear liquids can go a whole week or more before it starts to gunk up the coil

If you can't see through the liquid it has sediment in it that will stay on the both the wicking material and coil... thus gunk. If you can see through it but there's a lot of color.... say barely there beige compared to deep golden.... same thing. No, there's no way to make an opaque juice clearer other than diluting it way down with colorless pg, vg or distilled water. Personally, I don't and wouldn't advise using food coloring. I don't even know the purpose of it.other than a marketing gimmick. The thing to do DIYn is to look for the particular flavoring you like in the lightest form or strongest taste.... actually that applies to premixed juice also. For instance, one of my favorite flavorings is Pecan. Some are so dark they look black in the bottle... vanilla is similar... so the key is to get the strongest flavor one so that only a little is used which cuts down on the sediment in the juice. When buying premixed, I contact the vendor asking what it looks like.

Dark juices always gunk up fast on any device I use them with. It sucks because a lot of my favorite flavors happen to be dark, a lot of chocolates, coffee's and several vanillas too. DIYFlavorShack sells a great pound cake flavoring and its a light golden color. Which brand is it that has the dark pound cake color? Also if you order from DIYFS first time customers can use the coupon code "newtoyou" to get 20% off and the owner puts in some free samples, she's a really nice lady. I've read about people on ECF who use a bit of distilled water to thin out VG since its thick and can add to build up on coils, check that out if you like a high VG percentage it might help :)

but i love this poundcake flavor so ill check into the other place you mentioned.

I love coffee but i stopped making that cause it was super dark....dark brown......and that would gunk up like no tomorrow.......so i quick that flavor all together....
