So I got a igo-w running on .4 on a Galileo v3. I vape a lot and sometimes chain vape. When I went to put in my batts into the mod this morning I noticed dark spots and noticed that the lettering on the battery are getting erased turning to dark spots. Im not getting a short but the mod does heat up. Take out batteries and they are cool to warm at most. Here are pics.

.4 stresses batteries pretty good. I have these same Sony 30amp batts and have pushed 'em down to .25 with vapin donuts without any spotting. They did get quite warm but seem to be fine. Personally if my batteries were to show any sign of discolor id relegate 'em to higher ohm duty, quit stressing 'em and keep en eye on em.

same thing has happened to 2 of my batteries and I use a SVD soooo the point of being overheated etc is out of the question... mine look like the ink is starting to wear off due to the oils from handling them... my yellow battery is showing ink from below ( must be ink print on the battery itself) bleeding thru the plastic sheath.... other than that all 3 batteries are behaving as they should...

Those batteries should not be heating up, even at 0.2 ohms. If they are something is wrong with your setup, or the batts are old or have been stressed from something else. If they really are generating heat I would fix that sooner rather than later.

I've seen this before; What happened to my battery? on MNKE, VTC3 and VTC4 that were never even warmed up. Yours looks different though. Could be friction or heat, I don't know. Do the batteries go easily into all your mods?
