I've been searching but I've yet to find an explanation as to why some juices are darker than others. And knowing that they clog attys faster why use/ produce the darker version. In my town I'm fairly limited to the darker juices but I've recently visited a shop that made light juice in house and found that I prefer a less syrupy blend. So what gives with the other being so much more common?

My menthol I love is pretty much clear at 18mg. The Fruit/Cream flavor I love is a light brown/red. I have it in both 12/18 mg, the 18mg is a little bit darker, but in about 6-10 days they both get a little darker from steeping in my drawer. But the higher nicotine def adds to the darker color a little bit. I don't notice any difference in clogging between my menthol(Max VG) and my darker juice(50/50PG/VG). I get added flavor to my menthol and do add a few drops of distilled water once in a while, don't know why I guess because I think it helps me save money on juice lol.

Thank you guys for the replies. I understand that some juices darken with age and I'm sure that flavoring is the main reason for the difference in color / texture. I've also learned that most flavoring is just FDA approved food flavoring . This consernes me ... I know that these flavors are safe to ingest but are they safe to inhale and it would be nice to know exactly what flavoring is being used . There must be a big difference between oil extracts and flavor concentrate ect. I keep searching for the science behind these juices but have a hard time finding anything that isn't vague as far as the flavoring is conserned.. That being said I definately feal better than I did smoking analogs.... I guess I'll just keep searching.

If you want complete control over the quality of ingredients and the quality of the mixing process, you should seriously look into making your own (DIY) ejuice. And if money is an issue, you can make it yourself for about $1.50 per 30 mils, and minimal startup cost.
