Hello ECF,

I have a mini sized normal lavatube and a big size stainless steel lavatube. I just got my ss one last week and I got my normal one last month. I have been vaping regular boge 510's for all my life until just recently. I ordered a bunch of dct's and vision stone tanks. I will now break down both mods and how the 2 tanks performed on them and maybe you can help me fix the issues I have.

Stainless Steel LAvatube:

Smoktech DCT - works great! seriously produces a lot of vapor. It produces soo much vapor that I can't see myself in the mirror. I smoke 50-50 juices.

Vision Stone - GREAT! produces more vapor than anything I've seen. Great throat hit.

Regular mini size Lavatube:

DCT - it works but its very weak. I have to suck really hard to even get half the amount of vapor as the ss one. IDK why it does this. I tried 2 different batts on it but both batts aren't high drain or imr's so that may be a factor.

Vision Stone - ITS AMAZING! I was vaping this setup for the past 5 days until today. The vision stone decided it didnt want to fire at all anymore! I don't know why this is happening. The stone tank works fine on the ss tube but doesnt work at all on the regular mini tube.

Also the stone tank would work well with my switchback device and my ego battery but now they dont even fire but the stone tank still works on the ss vtube. WTF?!? This is seriously bothering me because I dont know which product is the bad one!

Conclusion:

I am lost. Someone help...

It sounds like the center post in the SS tube sits higher than the other devices. When you put the tank on the SS it pushes up the center post on the tank too much and the other devices can't reach it. You can use a toothpick to wiggle the center post on the tank down a little and it should work on the others. You didn't mention what resistance your tanks are or what voltages you are running but I think the batteries are the problem with the mini. If you are running the 1.5 ohm dct you'll only be able to run them at 3.7v before reaching the 2.5amp limit. If those are what you have try cutting the little black wire you see at the top of the carto going down the center tube. This will disable one of the 3 ohm coils and give you a single coil 3ohm carto that you can run all the way up to 6v if you want.

I'm finding I like 2.5 ohm single coil cartos on my VV tube. I can't find them already setup for the tanks they go from 2.0 to 3.0 I'm gonna be ordering a batch of 1.25 dual coils and snip the top wire in them. The 2.5 dual coil cartos just don't cut it for me. The 2x 5ohm coils put out plenty of vapor but not enough heat for my taste. Also all the 1.5 cartos that came with the tanks, I snipped them and at 3 ohms they are pretty tasty but I got to crank the voltage up to almost 6v, once the battery sags a bit I've got to change it. The 5-5.5v range seems to be my sweet spot.
