DCT's on a LT Searching for a better way.

First I would like to say I am a big fan of DCT's. It is all I have ever known! I Have a drip tip that I try new flavors in but I am on the go and tanks just fit the bill. I love carrying 3 tanks of juice with different flavors in all. Since i have started vaping and refining what i like and dont like, I have started trying all VG juices. I know people proclaim TH as king but I dont give a rats behind about that really. A little bit is nice but I prefer something smooth and mellow with thick vapor. My current vape is the revered Bobas Bounty (which took me a day to actually like and acquire a taste for so to speak). I realized a couple of things though, My bobas doesnt like my smoktech DCT's too much. It does work well but if I go off on a chain vape for a minute or two the vapor gets less and less and less. Today in the car had the tank actually warm to the touch. I was off in a daze staring at rush hour traffic and puffin away. Just a good long 10 sec drap with a 5-10 sec break between puffs and I had to set the tank aside and vape some other flavor to let the tank recharge I guess? Hard to tell because the other juice i had loaded was a 20/80 mix and has massive throat hit which was killing my scratchy throat. (think I am getting sick).


So now to my point. I have been looking at boge prepunch cartos with the giant crater in the side but realize they are NOT dual coil. I love my tanks but want to be able to draw a heavy vape oiut of them and scared the boge pre punched single coil cartos wont throw the vapor I am used too. My other thought was grabbing a 5v mod or 6v mod and giving that a try.

FYI I use 1.5 ohm DCTS on mny LT usually at 3.7 to 4 volts. I like VG so much that I think I will continue to pursue HIGH vg content vs PG Any thoughts or suggestions ? Or am I seeking the holy grail?

Have you looked into using the tank carto replacements at Madvapes?

I started using the 1.25 DC tank cartos and absolutely love them on my LT. They are machine drilled and not punched, and they come with 3 holes now.

I got all my crats from madvapes and they are the 1.5 ohm variety with 3 holes. I am still having to elongate my draw to pull decent vapor though. The elongated draws = elongated battery burn and heating up components. It seems like if I take a hit, lay it down for sometime the next hit is good which appears to me that the filler is having to recharge.

Hence my consideration of a boge LR single coil. It just has a giant prepunched hole for recharge. I dunno not sure what to say, just want more consisten vapor.

Your juice must be crazy thick, cause I actually have a problem every once in a while of the 3 hole cartos slightly flooding.

Bobas bounty is 100%VG so it is very thick.

yep, the single hole on the smoktechs isn't enough for VG. You'll need to either slot your cartos with a dremel or use a self piercing saddle valve to punch an extra hole or two in them. Just a flow problem caused by the thicker juice. Keep in mind though, once you add the extra holes, PG juice will flood right through them so you are stuck using them with thicker liquid.

I use a 50/50 mix of VG/PG in my DCT, and have found a bit of heat helps thin out the juice and feeds better when warm.
