Hi there -- new poster to the forums but lurker for the last week or so.

First I would like to say that this has to be one of the best resources I have found on the internet for information regarding e-cigs -- however unfortunately I believe I have found it too late.

I got turned onto the e-cigs by the kiosk here (independent) in a local mall and knew that there had to be a better way than $150 in the mall, so started doing some digging on the internet. Via some ebay listings I stumbled upon a vendor who was selling the e-health cigarette, and got a bunch of my friends together and purchased 10 of em.

I am completely sure now that this is the same piece that DealExtreme sells, and wow what a piece of junk. Out of the ten that we ordered, I've had six batteries crap out, and the carts rarely give more than 5 or 6 good puffs.

Now that that is out of the way, my question is does anyone know what these units are compatible with parts-wise? They seem to me to be very similar to a 401, and in fact I ordered up a few of eSmokerShop's units to see if they will work, but the Postal service has failed me and I am looking at seeing them on Monday now.

Just wondering if when these arrive I can replace my friend's batteries with the 401-style or if I will be looking at junking out ann ten of em and just starting over.

Cheers from ND

I ordered some stuff from Deal Extreme to supplement my other 401 parts and for a back up and for friends to try.

What I found out is this:
a) the batteries from M40x type e-cigs don't last more than a week
b) the atomizers from M40x type e-cigs don't last much longer
c) the drag from the M40x type atomizers is inconsistent between manufacturer no matter the battery type (too hard of a drag for me)

As for DealExtreme - the atomizer in the green and white cigarette pack type pkg for $11 worked great. The chargers from the black box $13 kit worked pretty well and when I burned up all the batteries for one reason or another, I used the cords to create a usb pass thru so there was a benefit.

All in all it was an experiment with cheap equipment that I do not regret but knew going in that the stuff would not last.

Get yourself some good equipment, good e-juice and some back up parts. Go with someone who will guarantee no doa and at least 7 days replacement on defective mdse.
