The dehydration phase doesn't last too long. Maybe a couple months, I don't experience that anymore at all. Just up your fluid intake and you will be fine. I also had a few canker sores in the beginning, but that too went away. I think the change from smoking to vaping changes the alkaline or acidic levels in your mouth. I had that same issue when I had quit smoking (unsuccessfully) using other methods before.

Here's the deal with water.
You SHOULD drink 8-10 8oz glasses of water a day
if you drink coffee you should add the amount of coffee you drink to that
when I'm at home and working at my desk I probably drink a 30oz glass of water every 1-1.5hrs. especially if I pair it with coffee.

Suggestion: Grab a nice big water bottle, fill it with water and ice.. and set a goal to finish it in X time.
I also find that higer PG juice makes my throat sting, also spesicif flavors (lemon lime) gives a little sting/drying..
I'd suggest upping your VG and maybe trying different brands / flavors.

I moved out to the high desert. Never in my life have I had eczema till now.. I hate it. Oh.. Well. Part of life I guess. Anyways I noticed that since I quit smoking and started vaping that my eczema has flared up! Trying to drink more water.. Just not a big fan of it. I do drink a ton of iced tea! A must have in my fridge at all times! Is tea alright to drink?

Only complaint with vaping so far is that I am CONSTANTLY dehydrated. Drink a bottle of water, vape some more, and again my mouth is dry and I'm dehydrated. How do other people deal with this? Do I just need to continuously up my water intake? Water just doesn't seem to do the trick, somehow. Am I holding the vapor in my mouth too much?

the trade off for not smoking,,small price to pay.

I vaped and smoked for awhile since it was so hot this summer and I was drinking sooo much water even without totally vaping. Now that it has cooled off, I feel like I am keeping up on my hydration and I only smoke a few stinkies a day. When the last few packs of stinkies are gone, I am quitting altogether.

I was glad to smoke and vape until I got to a good comfort level on the vaping. I enjoy vaping more than smoking and now feel confident that vaping will get me through the tough times once the last few stinkies are gone.

I congratulate you on quitting smoking.

First welcome and congrats on quitting the analogs. I've always drank a lot of fluids. Health issues. Sports drinks as mentioned before like Gatorade and such are really good for you. Provide the electrolytes that your body needs. I've found that changing to decafe helps also. Stay away from caffine. When I go to bed every night I have a 64oz cup that goes with me. By morning it's empty. Just find something that you can handle and drink till you got to pee and then drink some more. Good luck and best wishes.

I find that vaping makes my.nose run...is that weird? Is it just me?

def get this a lot. my nose is always wet now. i feel like a dog and i dont even exhale out my nose. i think it has to be the pg. the hookah mix i use is all VG and flavoring and i never get leaky nose syndrome

I take 3 bottles of water to work every day. I try to drink one bottle before lunch time. Another one before I leave the office at 5. And the third one on the way home and through dinner. I figure on my diet that I should do that, plus vaping makes me like water more :) I never used to drink water but believe it or not, once you start drinking it you feel you can't do without it.

I lately have actually kept a water bottle on the back of the toilet in my bathroom that I refill from time to time and hit on it when I get up in the middle of the night or even in the morning when I'm getting ready for work. It's always there :)

A good tip is to take an 8-oz (plastic) cup or larger and freeze it during the day at work, and then right before you go to bed, put it on a coaster by your bed. When you wake up it should be ice cold melted water, and just chug that to start your day.

most probably the pg content of your juice, but generally you'll be drinking more water than you used to. when i started vaping, most of my e-juice were at least 80% pg, which dried the hell outta my mouth and throat, and i couldn't stand not having a glass of water beside me (or eating candy to help those salivary glands) while i puff away. when i switched to at least 70% vg, my throat doesn't get that irritated (and i enjoyed more vapor). i still make sure that i have a drink beside me while i vape, though.
