Canada post has changed their "expected delivery" date from April 4th to April 10th now on my expedited parcel that is supposed to be guaranteed to be delivered on the "expected delivery" date.

That's convenient. /sarcasm

Hmmm...they did this AFTER you submitted a ticket?? No matter, the receipt should show the original expected date of delivery.

Yep, I submitted my ticket last week and I noticed that the delivery date was changed today. However, I'm hoping to get it today as it is out of Mississauga today. No other email from CP other than the initial one to say that my ticket was submitted, so I guess that is how it's fixed now.

Canada Post never ceases to amaze me. We thought their service was bad in Calgary...it was STELLAR in comparison to what they laughingly call "service" in Regina.
I swear they view the entire PROVINCE of Saskatchewan as a black hole. In 18 months living here, they've screwed up badly enough for me to file a complaint seven times, and countless more that were just enough to PI** me off. Absolutely no point in paying for expedited delivery; they couldn't get a package here on the day they promised to save their lives...
Not once...not ONE time...have they delivered ANYTHING on time.

My expected delivery date was changed online as well. Yesterday it said it was expected on the 10th, this morning it said the 11th. My parcel arrived at my local post office at 00:42 this morning and was never sent out. My husband ordered something that was shipped out around 4pm yesterday and somehow that managed to get delivered today.

His parcel was sent by standard parcel, mine was sent xpress...

Should I be happy it says "Item Processed" and expected delivery date is today or should I still be skeptical?

I only get happy when it says "out for delivery"

Right now this is what I see lol:

Product Type: Expedited Parcels

Expected Delivery : 2012/04/11 (yesterday lol)

2012/04/12 07:42 LONDON Item processed at local delivery facility
06:35 LONDON Item processed at local delivery facility
2012/04/11 05:12 LONDON Item processed at postal facility

And it is still not out for delivery
