In their defense, I actually know another ex-smoker who longs for the days when he smoked. He has expressed how much he misses going out for a smoke break at work when things are especially stressful.

right. i guess the problem is how people deal with envy. 99% of them will find a way to put the person down. good point that the ex-smokers have an outlet now. maybe they'll lighten up.

When she asked about how much you spend you should tell her that she doesn't have to spend as much as you do. She could actually make it cheaper and she could use less nicotine and lower it as she's ready and then eventually hit no nic and just quit. It's easier than the patches or the gum or in her case the patches AND the gum (gross).

Unfortunately though, her health insurance probably won't pay for her e-cig supplies. Stuff that works is not covered. :/

Well if her insurance is paying for it I guess she's got us beat. But personally I only spend about 40 to 50 a month on my regular stuff and I limit myself to only 30 dollars for samples if I want to try some so with that end game I'm spending less. If she's still smoking you know the insurance isn't paying for that part of it lol. You're the winner and she's fighting a losing battle so I wouldn't worry about her :) You gotta do what's right for you!!!

The thing about the loud smoker haters is that they are now conditioned by the Nanny Society to think it's permissible to walk up even to a total stranger and abuse them for smoking/vaping,
a licence for total rudness they've never had before....
As Shakespeare observed, the veneer of civilisation lies very thin on some people.
I think thats the part that bothers me the most- the now socially tolerated and approved utter rudeness.
