Some background; I test automobiles for a living, and travel to some pretty extreme environments to measure engine performance. Last month, I was in Death Valley, and had to sit outside for a while during a shutdown engine period.
Air temperature was 122F, and the humidity was around 5%. I was vaping my ProVari with a Phiniac carto tank, Boge 2ohm cartomizer, and a full tank of MBV Red Licorice (mmmmmm). Vapor production was light, as I'd expect at that heat and humidity. What I was surprised at was how quick the tank warmed up.
After 4 vapes, the tank was almost too hot to touch! Alarmed, I checked the end cap of the battery, but it was not that warm. Yet. I tried "cooling" the tank with my hand, and had another vape. Got hot immediately.
I made it through the shutdown time, and gratefully got back in the car and cranked up the AC. Cooled down the vape gear, and back to work.
So yes, you can vape in Death Valley, but it is not the best vape. I've vaped in below zero, high altitude (14,000 ft) and 236 feet below sea level. And enjoyed every minute of it.
