Not quite sure what the difference between a rba and rta is?

As Doug says above.
With a tank you have factory coil heads and possibly an RBA head as well.
Usually... the RTA has no factory built heads, just a deck for your own builds.

They usually provide a larger area for builds and better flavor, as an RDA would.
But you must do the building.

As I said, if you accept, or prefer, to roll your own coils, adding RTAs to the search greatly expands your choices. Just food for thought (I love the things... and hate tiny, finicky RBA heads).

Great.

I really had forgotten about the SuperTank, and now I have to relearn and see if one's in my future.

Besides top fill and their own TC-able SS heads... as I touched on, it will take factory coils from other brand(s). Specifically at least one of the Aspire lines. And there's an RBA for later, if one chooses.

I'm really kicking myself wondering why it dropped off the radar.
It was a seriously well regarded tank last summer and fall. It didn't get worse.

It was actually a coin flip flavorwise between it and Crown reviewers.
