I have to agree...and disagree. I cleaned a coil that my wife used her Coffeeshop in for two weeks and kept complaining that it was getting burned. the thing literally fell apart! Started cleaning her coils every 2-3 days in that tank and no problems since. I like doing it (I like the hobby aspect) so she is very happily vaping her favorite flavor and she just changes out the atomizer every other day. Good all around!

That'll wear thin soon enough. "oh baby - can you recoil these for me?" close to 10 at a time, usually when you are eating or on the phone.

i now make the coils and say "there you go"!

dark liquids and very sweet, almost sugary ones will kill your coils, so you either make more wicks or swap flavours. wicks/coils is easy.

I didn't even realize that the head and coils were "cleanable." I happened to run across something earlier and I had a couple that didn't find the trash can yet so I figured why not? I'm bored. What a PITA. I have no clue how to make a wick or a coil; main reason I've stuck with a nice tank system from a reputable MFG with inexpensive heads.
Looks like its time to either learn how to rebuild the heads or find a juice that's not dark but tastes like it is... Lol

If you don't like tinkering, rewicking or rebuilding IS a PITA. Cleaning is just money-wise. Why throw something away that you can have cleaned and dry burned , ready to go again, good as new, in just a few minutes?? I'm a tinkerer and a piddler, come from a long line of tinkerers and piddlers. I am happy as a man can be if I've got something to tear apart and rebuild to be better than it was to begin with....but that's just me, JMMV!!

What I learned was dark juices are more trouble than they are worth. Kanger dial coil head for PT3 and after only using them for 2 or three days each there was just huge gobs of gunk stuck in the coils some are apparently can't be saved.
Never ever valuing dark juices again.

The PT 3 heads are a bit tricky to clean, but it can be done. Soak 'em in vodka or everclear for a day or so, rinse in water, let dry for another day or so, pop the chimney off, remove the flavor wick and dryburn. Be careful to only remove the flavor wick on top. There is silica along the sides that keeps the coil legs from touching, leave that alone. Replace chimney and vape on!! If you decide to recoil them, just recoil as a single micro coil. I've done a couple like that for a buddy and they vape great, better than a dual coil actually.
