I am currently using an eGo-T 650mAh pass through battery. I got the PT since I only have 1 battery and it would allow me to use it while recharging. Well I have found that it lasts me all day anyway. I use this with Vision Mini Vivi Novas and eVods.

Anyway I have been debating on getting a new battery/PV. My initial instinct was to just go with an eGo Twist or Vision Spinner since they are in the same price and size range as the eGo-T I have now but add the VV feature. I am not sure I would really even use the VV feature though, since I prefer 2.4ohm heads over the 1.8 ohm heads on both the Vivi and the eVod. However I have just started rebuilding the Vivi heads so I am getting a bit more variance and thinking the VV can help compensate for that.

Ok so I think having VV would be nice. However, I don't really like the idea of having to unscrew my tanks and screw in the battery to charge it and not be able to use it when charging. Enter the Vamo and the iTatse SVD. For about the cost of 2 Twists or Spinners I could get one of these 'big boy" PV's with all of the bells and whistles. While I love the idea of being able to swap out the internal batteries for charging, I am just unsure if I want anything physically this big. Granted I have never held one so I might be fine with it. On the other hand I don't want to blow a thousand dollars in experimentation just to end up at some inevitable point anyway nor do I want to jump off into something more than I will ever need or want either.

I am not sure I am even looking for answers, just kind of using this is a sounding board so see what others think. What are your thoughts? I wish there was a B&M nearby that I could go hold one of these larger devices and see how it felt in my hand but alas there is not.

Had a Vamo, used it and it WAS big. Definitely not a portable device in my opinion. Fine for at home but even in smaller mode, it was big. I have ended up liking mechanicals mods. The only hybrid I have that I would consider truly portable is my Noble 1. It's tiny, made of aluminum and disappears in your shirt pocket barely noticeable. I still use ego styles when on the go with a Kanger Protank. I also have a couple of X6 batteries from MyFreedomSmokes. It's has 3 levels of power and a 1300mah battery. It's cheap, light, solid, about this size of an average cigar and if you lose it, it's only $21

Somewhere out there
For light weight and portable the ego styles are best for me. The only other i have that is small and portable that takes replaceable batts is a GLV mini but it is not VV. I have a Provari mini but it stays at home and is heavier but not real big. I never take it out tho because I do not want to loose it :) bnrk

I am positive you've got vape stores in or around Houston. Search, ecig houston tx , if they don't say they have a store call them up and ask if you can come in person anyway. I don't know any of their reputations, just that I've seen places down there in my searches.

As far as what you should get, actually holding one would help. Vamo size is pretty huge as your only choice.
I would get something you can afford two of so if you like it you can get a backup.

You answered your own question, you don't really need it and seem to be okay with what you have.

Personally if an ego / ego like device and carto/tanks/clearo is working fine with a good juice and the right nic content for you - I have no idea why anyone would need VV or VW etc - unless you used to chain smoke Marly reds, like 5 at a time.

Tried a big mod at a b&m store once with lr atty onm it and a normal atty. Both times, I bent over double coughing and nearly broke a rib. Not fun. And I'd smoked for 25 years

Vamo is big even in shorty mode and heavy, but I luv it.
SID is big but much lighter. But round lol
Alot of mech mods are quite small and probably better for what u require, I'll be getting one soon.
Provari smaller then Vamo but round and lighter I hear.

Look for pics of devices contained in ones hand to give a decent idea of size.

I actually live on the far North East side of the Houston area. While there are B&M's in Houston the nearest one is actually about an hour dive away. Call me lazy I just haven't found it important enough to make a 2 hour round trip to look at a device. There are two closer but they seem to be in someones house. I am not comfortable showing up at someone's house when I know I have no intention of buying from them.

Oh and yes, Houston and the surrounding area IS that big.

ditto that. can't get anywhere in the metroplex in under an hour it seems.

I started with a cigalike, went to a vision spinner (bought some backups) and just graduated to a sigelei.
I like the vision spinners tho, and i'm glad I have 2 as backups :)

Oh, and I should say the 1300 spinners were lasting me 3-4 days on average (I must not vape as much as I think I do, but I feel like I do it a lot!) and since I have 2 now and 2 baby egos I was never without. I bought the baby egos after buying first spinner AS backups as my spinner died one night RIGHT before I was going to bed and that wasn't working for me. LOL.
I finally bit bullet and bought second spinner, then like 2 weeks later bought my sigelei and I have 5 batteries (2 18650s, 2 18490, 1 18350) for it. so I've got plenty of backup on a daily basis. hahaha...

Too bad you are not in DFW tho. there are vape shops ALL OVER this place.

Based on other posts on the Vamo and my own experience, 100's (probably much more) use our Vamo's out and about everywhere. You are the big exception. Plus the Vamo can be made physically smaller.

Ahh, I didn't realize that. Kind of like 1.5 hours to drive to Chicago. 2 hours to get into Chicago.

The Vamo is not really that big when you actually hold and use it,its perfect,it looks bigger than it really is.

Sure makes my eGo-Cs feel tiny.
