Sorry for the catchup post!

Quad 24g "vertiside" build. Looks kind of weird but functions superbly! Two sets of side by side (ppl call it parallel now) 3/32 I.D on both horizontal and vertical coils. Each wrap is done by hand and no pre wrapping because you cannot pre-wrap so pardon the somewhat unevenness and unperfect coils lol. Basically all side by sides. Concept started out on the previous build to suspend the coil higher and maximum outside diameter exposure to the airflow inside. Instead I just started out with two sidebyside coils on top branching out into two other side by side coils horizontally. I got very good results on the parasplit build so this one was much better with a lot more airflow. Looks like a 69 lol this thing rips it up well. Somewhat hard to build but def hard to get the coil perfectly aligned because you are wrapping it one coil at a time while mounting. Thanks for checking it out. Not too crazy but I was def surprised at the result. Remember to vape safe, master the safety precautions of vaping and encourage proper vape etiquette!

Since last night's post I got so many questions regarding the Vertiside build. Alot asked why it looks so messy eta and this was prob my messiest weirdest build to date haha. I just put together a lil compilation on how it started. So the wires had to be mounted already prior to any coils being wrapped. Which is why it kinda came and shaped that way it did. Each wrap had to be done while the bits were on the rda for spacing. Anyway it does function very nice which is why I wanted to share it regardless of the messy presentation! Have a great weekend vape fam <3

Went to visit an old build I did back last October but this time a quad. Quad 24g 3/32 I.D. 2wrap-split 2wrap. I had originally used a .4ohm build to test the Venturi atty by @neovapetek and I knew it was going to hold up well. I wasn't sure how it would do under a low ohm build. Once @neovapetek posted they were going to have an open airflow cap I just had to try it. The atty did magnificent under a hot build! When you start getting into more than 4-5 wraps try this coil out. What it does is eliminate the hotspot burn that occurs in the very middle of a very long wrapped coil after a long drag. On a coil with alot of wraps, energy will always start at the weakest point of the circuit. (In your coil in the very middle) As all you builders have noticed the initial burn starts in the middle of your coil and goes outwards because the weakest part is in that very middle of your coils. Start out by doing two wraps then on the third wrap bend back into a "U" or "V" shape then wrapping the other way the same. This coil splits up any long coil wraps and concentrates on not just one "weak" part of the coil. Thus speeding up the burn and most of the time having a more dense burn due to the bigger hotter overall wicked area. Hardest part about it is maybe the test fire and adjustment to remove any initial hotspots. Try it out I'm sure you will enjoy it. I hope I did not confuse anyone on the explanation if I did you guys know how to get a hold of me. Thanks for checking it out and I'll post the fire vid in a bit. Build is suggested to use a 26650 hardware. Remember to vape safe, master the safety precautions of vaping and encourage proper vape etiquette! Very cool info Deeds! Gonna try this on a few of my next builds this weekend :D

Thanks again for the inspiration :)

Quad staggered "Radial" build on the 454 Big Block RDA by kryptonitetanks (Kryptonite Vapor) courtesy of epikvape 24g 3/32 I.D 5 wrap on the upper coils and 1/8 I.D 5wrap on staggered offset bottom coils. This is the fun part of the testing as I get to slap anything I want into the rda!!! "Radial" comes from an aircraft engine. What better to slap it on a 454 Big Block rda. It's a bit cramped especially with the big 1/8 I.D coils in between but it worked out well. Airflow is not bad as I tried to leave spaces in between thus the only way to wick it was like this to let airflow through. Ramp time from cold static was about 2 seconds with a fully charged vtc4.
My go to testing daily build on the 454 was a dual vertical side by side (parallel) @ around .16ohms. I had other ideas for this dripper but I just had to do a radial engine looking first. Tried a coil on what you mentioned about a V or U shape to break the weak point out. It was tough but I got one coi to burn good.

I tried it also

Can't see the u in pic but its working good with twisted 28g nichrome 2mm ID .35 ohm KGD wick. Flavor is outstanding Polly more to do with wire

Nice. I got mines to looks almost like a single coil. After two wraps I bent the wire like starting a parallel coil. Squeezed it till if was close and wrapped that bend around the screwdriver. Then I started to wrap the other two strands. It's weird because both ends are on the same side.

Hey Deeds, tried this coil as well. Its deceiving how simple this coil looks but it sure is a PITA to wrap LOL
I got some 24 and 26 gauge wire coming in this weekend so Im gonna try it again with the thicker wire.

Here are a few shots of my 3rd attempt, still not happy with it but its functional for now and will keep it til I try it again this weekend.

Dual Twisted 30G on a 3mm gauge pin came out to 0.52 ohm.

Sweet bro. I just finished mines as well. Hopefully we didn't hack up the masters coil building method. Deep let us know if these are ok??

My attempt. 24ga .28ohms. When bending the "U" I did it like starting a parallel coil, pinch them together as close as possible and wrapped it around the bit.

Kind of a vapor signature happening. Almost 5 ways the vape is pluming.

Yours looks great with the 24G Bro! Those are some nicely formed coils and your leg bends are excellent :) I personally like your build better compared to mine, just looks cleaner ;)

I noticed that you placed the legs on the bottom of the coil too when mounting it. I tried it both ways and liked the bottom leg mount better myself. On my first attempt I tried 28g single wire duals but the ohms were out of my comfort range (0.24 ohm just too hot for my tastes) so I upped the wire gage and tried the twisted wire method like Juggalo posted. I'm liking it but think that the single wire looks cleaner and easier to keep together than the twisted wires. So I'm looking forward to trying it again with the thicker wire :D

So are you liking the vape from it? Does it seem to perform better than your usual builds in that ohm range?

Thanks bro. I had 20 mins to get those coils done. If I had more time would've fudged around more to get them legs straighter. It's vaping the same right now. Same vapor and taste. But I'll let the coil and wick break in a little. I was only able to take 5 vapes and had to set it down. When I go back in for another session the wick should be nice and saturated.
