Not the only point some would take from what you said though. And many times the gov't types are those who couldn't make a mark in private business - they go to the only place where they could actually make a mark because they couldn't make it anywhere else. I think that's quite a difference. Also private businesses sometimes learn from their mistakes and end up successful after failures. That simply doesn't happen in gov't. Gov't types tend to repeat those mistakes over and over again.

I was talking more of the support we'd get from strangers - none or very little, UNLESS they have habits that could be next for regulation.

Or they are reached on similar common grounds. Simply because we may not personally know each other in a casual conversation, does not preclude them from having those same thoughts about loved ones/close friends, life long acquaintances.
People often have more in common than they realize and only need be reminded.

Understood. My problem with that is what the point was - getting more people on our side - I wonder how many non-vapers have contacted their representatives on this issue. From all appearances very few or we may have more support in gov't.

I don't know what you all are taking away from this. Johnson says nothing about his authority to force the FDA to do anything. I fear his letter (demands) were merely political posturing for the anti "Big Gov" regulation crowd in general. Sure it's nice to hear somebody thump the same bible every now and then but if their bark is "toothless" then stop stringing us along.

I've read quite a few (not all) of the 'comments' on the original call for comments on deeming from the FDA. Many from vapers, some from vendors. Never saw one that said 'I'm not a vaper, but.....' ...but yeah, no real statistics'.
