I've seen tons of people talking about these. kayfun's , IGO's etc. I'm not exactly sure how they work. You drip a few drops into the wick and then puff it for a few puffs and then repeat? Doesn't this get exhausting? As a chain vaper this seems like a lot of work.

Just like every other type of vaping, it has its pros and cons. Obviously for some, it would be exhausting....take myself for instance. I only tried dripping briefly, using a 510 atomizer....and I just couldn't find myself dripping regularly. I never dripped after that.

The major benefits of dripping are 1) outstanding flavor, and 2) being able to use drops of e-liquid instead of larger amounts ....which comes in handy if you want to test out a lot of e-liquids.

Personally though, like I said, dripping isn't for me. It isn't for everyone.

You *can* get into rebuildables if you want though, without dripping. There are rebuidable tanks.....called RBAs, instead of RDAs

I use a IGO L every day 11 drop`s at a time it last about 45 min. It`s no more effort than pulling out a analog and lighting it. I use cotton wick also great flavor. Dripping is not for everyone so fined what works for you. My vaping bubby likes the Kraken a lot it`s a nice Genny style RBA and I hear good thing about the Kayfun it`s a bottom feed RBA. So look around and you will find what works for you. Happy Hunting and Good Luck your in the right place to learn.:vapor:

Hmm wonder what I am doing wrong then.

Other than the very first hit off an IGO W, vapor is not much different than my PT or Top coils... flavor is subjective and I have never had great flavor.. well cept some Hangsen Clove liquid. It took me 2 days to get that flavor out of my mouth.

I don't see an increase in TH. Also 10 drops last me 5-10 minutes if that. A single coil 7/6 wraps of 32 gauge using PC yarn. I usually line a hole up right on the coil. I use the same wraps in all devices.

I think the top cap on the L works better than the W but that's IMHO. The W has two air hole for dual coils and that will reduce your TH and vapor when using single coils.

Hmm will try plugging the hole opposite the coil and see if it helps.

I have an IGO L on order to check it out.

Danke.

Not exhausting at all. I wrap my own coils and use cotton for wick, on an Igo-L. 5 to 7 drops and I'm good for 20 mins or a half hour. Very enjoyable.

I'm right between you two, on my IGO-l, 8 or 9 drops works great for me.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the Clove - I smoked clove cigarettes from time to time, but the clove e-liquids are far more intense, in my experience.

You didn't mention what device you're using - mech? VV/VW? And what is your resistance coming out to?

Personally, I've found that unless I keep the resistance up, like with a microcoil, I just don't enjoy dripping as much as I do on a mech.

Ah sorry.. It comes to around 2.0-2.5 Ohms. Can't remember since I got tired of dripping in it. 45 mins I could handle.. 5 mins... is more like a smoke.

I have used it on an SVD at 7 watts.... Also a nemy clone with kick at 7-8 watts. Dang numbers are so hard to read. Also have used on spinners at 4.3V.

I am not a sub ohmer or enthusiast.. just a dude that was able to stop smoking using one... I am looking to try and get some decent flavor for once. I only really liked one liquid and that was HHV Gandalf. It was a sample bottle I bought. The 30ml bottle I received tasted horrible.

Anyway.. yeah I would enjoy cloves with my friends for happy hour on Saturdays.. (20 years ago when you could actually smoke in a bar with dollar pitchers..edit oh dang this is 2014 make that 30 years ago.) The e-liquid blew me away. I put it in a Gemini from got vapes... It took 3 weeks to get that taste out of it.. I can still slightly taste it.

Kayfun has a tank. Igo-l, w, etc are drippers. You get 10-15 full drags before your wick dries out, provided you soaked your wick as much as possible without flooding the coil. It's not as much work as it seems, especially if your hands are free.

Considering you started a thread asking this question, you must be pretty lazy. Use something that has a tank.

For me, it's my favorite way to vape most of the time (I also like carto-tanks a lot, but not all of my juices taste right in a carto). I wrap my own coils and use cotton wicks in an IGO-L and I can usually drip about 10 drops at first, then after soaking the wick I drip 5-7 at a time and I can vape about 20-30 minutes, then drip 5-7 again. If I use more wick, I can drip more at a time, but I've found that I don't like having a ton of cotton. In my opinion, it's about as much work as lighting a cigarette and takes about as long.

Have you tried bumping the wattage?

With SOME juices, letting them sit for a while often helps improve the experience. Also, as you get farther and farther away from your last cigarette, your tastes may change since your taste buds start to come alive.

Also, there's the dreaded vaper's tongue, where everything tastes dull and lifeless. It happens to almost everyone at least once after they start vaping.

[Anyway.. yeah I would enjoy cloves with my friends for happy hour on Saturdays.. (20 years ago when you could actually smoke in a bar with dollar pitchers..edit oh dang this is 2014 make that 30 years ago.)

Oh yeah, I remember those days - Wednesday was nickle mug night at our favorite watering hole, bring your own mug. And then we played Pole Position, high score drove everyone else home....:facepalm:

Thanks mate. Fellow Buckeye too.

Yes. Highest I ever went is 11. It just gets hotter. Slight change in taste.

Been vaping 1.5+. Steeping doesn't do much for me. Longest I have steeped is 1 month. I think I have perma vapors tongue.

Oh yeah the stupid things we have done to see who drives like flipping a coin. Well I cant read it so I am not driving.

I guess one day I'll figure it out. Hopefully the op sees a difference as of yet I have not. Maybe I am the exception to the rule.
