I just opened a brand new Parliament 18mg cartomizer.. Attached it to a fully charged batt and it would not vape.. it seems clogged or something when I try to draw from it..

The others in the 5 pack were ok so far. There were 2 left. After the defect I opened the last one and it vapes just fine..

Has anyone else had this problem and has it happened often?

If you have a manual, hit the button and see if it sizzles... if it does, try lightly pushing a straightened paperclip through the center of the carto. Best to remove the cap and silicon washer so you can see what you're doing. The center tube is probably misaligned. Also, someone mentioned that they had a piece of metal stuck in theirs once that was probably residual from manufacturing. If you can see all the way through it, then maybe the center connector didn't get ground properly on the carto, compare the center connector to another and see if they look the same.

Is this one with a greenish yellow wrapper? Compare the depth of the slot in the center vs. the ones that work. I am at twelve of these that didn't have the center slot cut deep enough to breath. Tell Mark or Steve, they are aware and will take care of it for you.

I know you've had some problems with getting a good photo for Leaford (don't know if you've resolved them yet). I've unpacked my depth (plunge) micrometer now, and the microscope camera is set-up. I also have bellows on the 20D for larger field macro. If you want me to shoot high-res shots, let me know and I can shoot you off my address.

Out of the many, MANY cartos I have purchased, a few have been DOA. One of them actually cranked up for me after I switched it to another battery. (I have no idea why this happend, but I haven't lost much sleep over it.) I just figure that out of all the freebies I have received, I don't need to make an issue of one or two faulty cartos. It's not that much different than coming home from the grocery store and finding that one of my apples was bruised or a can is dinged. (However, if I had 12 or so nonfunctioning cartridges--well that adds up to a chunk of loose change!) ;)

yup, i've had one that was defective. airflow was fine and labels were fine but the sucka just wouldn't sizzle. however that carto *itself* was a freebie, and i figure consider the freebies i'm way ahead of the game. if i got a whole box of a flav i'd ordered purposefully that didn't work, i'd ask for another but otherwise, c'est la vie. ;)

Leaford and I managed to get that worked out and he knows how to measure that in the future so I don't think pics are needed yet thank you!
Another thing is some of the labels got placed on wrong on some of the Parlament cartomizers covering the air holes on the battery end, check to make sure they are not covered, that is a simple fix.
