Ok I wanted to get your opinion on my situation. I placed an order on evcigarettes and spent about 250 total on various vape ware. I believe the kayfun lite rta I received is defective. The screw on the negative post will not tighten to hold my coil to the base. I tried both screws in both posts and they both work on one but not the other. I explained this to the representative and they requested I send a photo or better yet make a short video of the problem at hand. I made a video and they agreed there was a problem. They asked that I disassemble the base and return just the negative post and screws for inspection at which point they would send a replacement if it wasn't considered unusually excessive use or improper use of the product. I requested they just send me a replacement part or that I would return the tank for a refund and purchase it elsewhere as well as reconsidering shopping on their site in the future at all. Do you think this is out of line? I made a clear case that right out of the box the post seemed defective. I read other users had similar issues with the kayfun lite clones where other vendors simply mailed out a replacement post or even in one case an entire new bases. Anyway I'm rambling a bit now but figured this would be a good place to get an opinion or perhaps there's some other obvious fix I'm missing. Thanks!

sadly 99% of all companies not just ecigs do need the original part back before doing a replacement swap. this is to protect them as well as other customers from fraud as they wont have a way to charge you for the new part if you neglect to send back the broken part. Thus keep prices lower, as where they would have to recoup money lost each time they are hit with fraud. As far as refunds most companies have it listed that there will be none in regards to rba's this was taken right from their website.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Kayfun 3.1 Rebuildable Atomizer ( RBAs ) are for EXPERT USERS and ARE NOT recommended for average users or beginners. The use and knowledge of how to properly test for shorts with a multimeter is a very important factor when building your own coils and wicks. WE DO NOT OFFER ANY WARRANTY, REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES ON ANY REBUILDABLE ATOMIZERS DUE TO THE NATURE OF THESE PRODUCTS.

you are lucky they are trying to do right by you and help you get a replacement. most companies will just say no buy another one!

The same thing happened to me. I had bought a second one and had it tucked away as a backup. It wasn't until I gave up and tried my backup that I saw the problem. The first one still worked but would short out occasionally. Just enough to make me crazy. I had paid much more for the defective one so I swapped out the base with a cheaper kayfun from FastTech and problem was solved
(Thank you Fasttech). Also, I now have spare parts. The defective one was out of warranty by the time I had it figured out. It's good you caught your problem in time, hopefully they will stand behind their product.

I understand where they are coming from. It's just frustrating and had to vent a bit I guess.

send the defective part so they can report to the manufacturer the issues in the design. They want the problems fixed too, its very time consuming to be replacing 1000's of parts over an extended period of time. Its easier to fix the problem in manufacturing and release a good item.

Yep that's what I'm doing. If it fails again is there a place to purchase a replacement post. I saw other replacement parts such a o rings after a google search but not the actual posts.

Ok folks. The vendor sent me a new base but now it seems the base of the chimney will not thread onto the base all the way. It should screw down all the way to nearly the bottom right? Picture attached for reference of how far it screws down. Wth I'm not sure about his clone.
