It's the other way round.
On the Cut the positive contact is springloaded.

One of my two Cut Squonk mods is bricked. It had been acting up intermittently but now will only display "Key Lock" or "Key Unlock" on the screen. Won't fire, won't power off with 5 clicks, won't do anything other than cycle between locked and unlocked. Yeah, it was only like $12 but these have been my go to mods since receiving them. I should have bought five or six of them, I guess.

why not dismantle it, clean up everything, let it dry and see how it work, possible button issue.

Yeah I took mine a part and fixed it,It is very simple. Just be careful when you slide the 510 at top out. Don't push too hard .
