I am a 2 month old Vaper now, so still trying to learn the art of vaping. I've been a smoker for over 26 years, that is until my beautiful son gave me a vaping starter kit he bought at the local mall, as chintzy as it was, it is the best Christmas present I have ever received!!! He loves me so much, and with the serious health issues I've been dealing with recently, well, I just cant put into words how my life has changed dramatically in such a short time!!!! Fast forward a bit......the kit he bought for me went belly up, so needless to say, I just had to get my hands on a reputable replacement. I've followed alot of all you wonderful people and your expieriences and comments and decided to go with a Vapor4Life Diamond Series XL Kit.....when it arrived....well! Such a classy outfit...quality product with such pretty pretty jewels on the tips! Oh my!:D Fast forward a little bit more to now......both my pretty pretty batteries are not working, ironically both went out within a week of each other, and the carts I ordered( about a months worth of both the Cool Carts and Wows, didnt seem to be performing very well with the batteries when they did work....so now, Ive got nothing. Needless to say this makes me sad sad sad:(. I live in a small town and have checked everywhere to get something, anything, to keep me from smoking that yucky analog, and so far, no luck!!! Anybody out there want to help a freshie out and offer some advice on maybe trying to fix these batteries, or how do I return them and last but no least.....tell me there is some 7-eleven or Speedway or any other convenience chain that might carry a temporary until I can get my beloved pretty pretties fixed or replaced??? Any input is welcome here.......craving and getting a little cranky :glare: without my vapes!!!!LOL.....Much thanks in advance!!

There isn't usually a way to fix a battery - you can only check to make sure the end you screw the carto on is clean, or make sure that the charger is working. You should contact the vendor and see if they are under warranty and have them replaced if so.

If not, then I know that some 7-11's do sell the NJOY King, which is a good disposable. But they are expensive and do not last long.

You should check your local tobacco shops, with any luck they have a reasonably priced kit to get you by while you get something better. There is also an e-cig store in Mishawaka, which may be close to you (looked it up on google)?

Most vendors do offer expedited shipping to get you a kit quicker.

How old are your batteries? I would contact them, their CS is usually good.

Are they automatic or manual batteries? You could try cleaning them well with iso alcohol. If both batteries went at the same time, possibly it's the charger.

Look for anyone that sells KR808 batteries. They should fit with your cartomizers.

I followed the cleaning instructions to a T.......no go. The first battery actually started acting wacky about a week before it went caput. the light would go on and stay on, so I just quit using that one all together. Both batteries posts look like they are very very loose in there.....just not making a connection I'm guessing, just not sure why this happened as I treat them like vaping gold!! Oh, both are automatics and I'm thinking I received them on Feb. 8.

You are right!!! Walgreens everywhere sells some sort of disposable or another! Will check Low Bobs as well, maybe get lucky there? I didn't think there would be any fix for the batteries, but had to ask anyway. I'm learning so so much great info here from all you good people....Thank you so much for your speedy reply......starting to go a little nuts!!!! LOL

vapor4life was my first kit too. I got tired of the short battery life. I switched to an echo battery from Mountain Vapor, it still uses the 808 threads so your cartomizers will fit. The 650mah battery is around 2.5- 3 inches long, but fatter than the v4l battery, I still found it very easy to use and twice to three times longer battery life. I also bought the 1300 mah battery which is 3.75 in. long That will last me more than a day. At first I thought it was just to big, but I got used to it.

If you decide to go with a different battery, there are two main thread types the 510/ego and the 808. The 808 is what you're using now, it is by far the smaller market of the thread styles. So if you really want to research it this is a great place.

now that you have your 5 posts in, you should be able to go over to othe v4l subforum on ECF and get advice from their CS guy --- or open a ticket with them online. To view the best care info about V4L batteries, go to teamkr808 on YouTube....a lot of great info there that helped me a lot when i first started vaping.

Just remember, if you order a new style battery, you will almost certainly need a new charger. I forgot that. The charger for the echo does plug into the usb port on the V4L wall charger, but you have to order the charger. The big complaint about the echo is the large blue LED on the bottom, it's almost bright enough to read by. I found black duct tape worked very well to cover the LED, Vaporgirl sells a version called the igo/808 that does not have that large LED. I just ordered one, should be here next week.
