Desperation: 2' wired vivi nova tank

I sat on my tank and broke the screw off. I cut a cartomizer about 1/4" long, soldered wires to that, then soldered the other end to the base of the vivi nova. It looks ghetto, it is.

The gf was amazing help as always, and I couldn't have done it without her!

But it will last until the replacement comes in... at least I didn't have to use cartomizers!

I forgot to mention, the solder used is rohs-compliant! The nova had a chrome plating, I had to use liquid rosin to etch it, same for the positive terminal of the nova. Everything was cleaned with alcohol before any liquid was used.

Though since it was late, I was tired from work, I managed to take a nice slice off my index finger.

I was going to cover it in kevlar wire mesh, but your idea is good too!
