Hi,

I am looking for a device that is capable of handling a higher VG fluid. Not terribly high, I am just planning on 50/50 (I know there are MUCH higher VG ratios out there, even 100%) vg/pg but currently my device is really only suited for 70/30 pg/vg. I burned through 3 atomizers in a day somehow, panicked, called customer service, and they told me my current vape can't handle 50/50 and that was why, it was burning through them even though I primed it as well as possible. Currently using E-Lectron L from TW.

The only catch is, I still need a good, fairly tight draw, for mouth to lung inhale as apposed to direct lung inhale.

My husband says this is not possible lol.

See the issue is, if I use HIS vape, which is more for lung inhales, it's too intense for me, I can't inhale well, I struggle. Holding it in my mouth as if it were a cig first, then inhaling is natural and easy for me, but straight to lung I can't do. And when I try, all it does is make me crave and analog, which I do NOT ever want to go back to! So that tight draw that mocks an analog is what I'm after...but I should use higher VG for personal reasons.

Basically he says the tighter the draw, the thinner the juice you'll need, so he says if I really want that mouth to lung cig-feel inhale, I need higher PG, but man, there has to be a middle of the road, right?
A device that still provides at least somewhat of a tight draw, but capable handling of at least slightly higher vg? No? :/

I was real interested in the ego ONE (or from TW it's the Tornado II Sub) especially since it comes with the 1.0 ohm atomizer for a tighter draw at 1.8 mm air hole, as opposed to the 0.5 sub ohm with the 3.5 mm air hole. So I figure the 1.8 mm air hole is better for what I want. But I read that the 1.0 ohm atomizer doesn't do VG well....ahh what to do lol.

It might make a difference: I intend to use Virgin Vapor e-juice from the 50/50 line (absolute virgin/no alcohol). I DID read VV is thinner than other high or all VG juices....a lot of people said that, actually. But I still don't want to risk ruining atomizers and experienced dry hit a lot.

If any one can tell me:
#1 A device ($50-$80 is budget, for everything not including fluid) that might give me both things I am looking for (mouth to lung tight draw, but able to tolerate higher vg)

#2 If you have used VV did you notice that it doesn't clog like others due to being thinner regardless of VG content?

#3 Does any one use the Ego ONE with high VG juice and the 1.0 ohm atty? Does it work good or did it cause issues?

PS I'm semi new to vaping so if I messed up terminology or anything, do forgive! Thanks!

I often recommend an iStick 30 watt or Coolfire 4 (both mods) with an Aspire Mini Nautilus or eLeaf GS Air M (both tanks). Both tanks are good for MTL and can handle 50/50 juice.

Videos below.

I often use vapeCrawler to see who has the best pricing. If I only want to see suppliers from the USA I make sure USA is "green" and all the others are "gray". If you go down to the very bottom of the page you can see all the vaping websites vapeCrawler searches.

I keep this thread bookmarked: Deals and Steals | E-Cigarette Forum

@blujess, if you put an "@" in front of a members name it will "tag" them just like I tagged you. Try editing your post and tag defdock.

I don't have any personal experience with the Ego One, but 50/50 juice is very common and you should have no problems with 50/50 in an Ego One.

If you really like the Ego One (19mm diameter), you may want to also consider the Ego One Mega (22mm in diameter).

Should you wish to get another tank (a spare one) that sits flush, 22mm is standard for most subΩ clearomizers/tanks.

One alternative is to simply thin the 50/50 liquid a tiny bit with distilled water, making it flow just as well as 70/30 liquid. Three to five percent is likely all you'll need to make any thicker juice flow well on the equipment you have, with very little change in flavor or nicotine level.

A device $50-$80 is budget, I would recommend Evic VT mini using their new CL-Ni Head for Mouth Inhale in TC mode. I think high vg need high temp and with TC mode you can vary it up to find the sweet spot for any e juice you may come across in the future. Another one is 30$ iStick TC40W pair with Ego One mega tank with CL-Ni mouth inhale in TC mode.
I use Ego ONE with 75% VG juice and the 1.0 ohm. I haven't found any problem yet may be because I always insert tissue to clean inside mouth tip and same time it also clean and remove gunk up on the coil.

I'll agree with the others that a iStick30 along with a Nautilus mini (1.8ohms) is a decent setup. I've purchased similar setups to get friends vaping.

However, much like you I was sick of burning through factor atomizers/coils. In my case I changed to winding my own coils with TC mods. Rarely if never a dry hit and no more factory atomizer/coil "tax" on my vaping.

My current recommendation is just a little modified, iStick TC40, Aspire Nautilus outfitted with VaporShark Ni200 coils. I've ran a handful of Clear Mint flavored +90% VG (full size) tank fills through this setup and the atomizer/coil is still going strong.

It has been my experience with TC that I can simply vape my tanks dry and refill.
