I'm still a noob, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to ask my question in a way that makes sense. There's a woman who posts videos on youtube and so far she has been spot on for me with all of her recommendations. For dripping she uses a 306 that's been dewicked and debridged. I didn't know what that meant at the time, so I ordered two regulars and one dewicked and debridged, which came with short drip tips because (not knowing any better) I didn't specify long tips.
When the 306s arrived, it was a fluke that I tried the d/d one first. I freaked that I could see the coil (or whatever it's called) and was afraid I'd get burned. Feel free to snicker, the guys at my local vape store did when I brought everything I have down to the store to help me understand in more detail. (They are very nice, btw, I just amuse them being a little old lady.) They explained what is inside of an atty and that I just couldn't see it in the others since they weren't d/d. A longer drip tip allayed my fear. They also showed me how to use a drip tip to direct drip into the regular 510 attys that came with my eGo kit.
[Sorry this post is getting so long] Anyway, I have 2 510 attys, 3 LR306s (one d/d) and a tank. I switch out the attys regularly and frequently clean them, while still keeping in mind that they will die at some point. Yesterday, I noticed that one of the 510s doesn't have a wick anymore - there may be a tiny bit hidden inside of the bridge, but I can't see it. I cleaned it, primed it and am cautiously vaping on it with a cartridge. So far, it's fine and doesn't taste burnt.
Finally(!) my actual question: if the 306s work d/d, do the 510s as well? The current 510 doesn't appear to have a wick, but the mesh isn't gunky, so could it just be considered dewicked? Regardless of what I see when I look into the atty, should I just continue using it until I get a burnt taste even after it's cleaned? [I just re-read this post - lord I feel like a clueless noob
