Diablo Mech 510 connection?

I have a SS TVS Diablo, and I like it! I have only 1 complaint so far, and that is, the 510 connection seems shallow. anything i use on it when threaded on the mod sticks out and there is a gap between the atty and the mod i use a kanger protank 2 and/or Doublecross rda. they both work fine and this is merely cosmetic but is there something i can do to make it fit better? sit flush that is?

Can't the positive contact (and insulator if necessary) be screwed down into the cap?

As it's a tele mech, with a bit of adjustment you should be able to get your attys flush. Don't over tighten them to the top cap though... you can seize them to it, and then you have a whole new set of problems. ;-)

If you back the screw and/or insulator way down into the mech tube, screw your atty in near flush, then run the screw/insulator back up to contact the atty - then snug down your telescope... that's about as good as it gets.

Just takes a little familiarity with how mechs are designed and adjusted - you'll be an "old pro" at it soon enough... then you can tell people how to get them dialed in.
