It varies, but it seems that 22mm is pretty much the standard for most of the full size atomizers and mech tube mods.

NOMINDTR ...

If you are real new to all this, the first thing you need to do is decide what kind of tank your looking for to buy:

1. The Kayfun Lite Plus I showed in the photo is a "Rebuildable Atomizer" (RBA or sometimes called an RTA) ... For this, you need to make your own coil and wick.

2. The Kanger Mega I also showed is called a "Clearomizer" ... For this, you buy replacement heads. These heads compose of the coil and wick. Nothing to make yourself. Every once in awhile, you just unscrew the old head and screw in a new one ... simple :)

I would recommend buying a Clearomizer first

OK. 30 mm are for 26650 right?

I don't own a tube mod that uses the 26xxx series batteries, but I would think that they are really heavy. You may get a little tired carrying it around after awhile ... just something to consider.

The 22mm mods with the 18xxx series batteries are heavy enough compared to those small / skinny 14mm EGO style clearomizers / batteries you are probably used to.

Yes. I have been a while learning all these. I would like to buy two mods, a clearomizer and an RDA. I found an 510 to ego adapter on fasttech. Guess I can use that to fix my ego clearomizer with a mod. Is that right?

Personally, I would stay with a 14mm adjustable voltage EGO "Twist" style battery when using one of the smaller 14mm Clearomizers such as a Kanger "Mini" ... these are great for sticking in your front pocket when you go out someplace ... Lightweight

And for other times like when at home, get a larger 22mm RBA or RDA and use it with either a 22mm tube mod or an adjustable "box mod" such as an MVP 2.

As far as the small EGO style combo ... Here is a nice little setup that I use when going to the store or something like that ... again ... lightweight and easy to carry around:

14mm Kanger Mini and a 14mm Kanger EVOD Twist battery:

also i will add that 22mm tubes have the best options for a variety of different Atty's,
and i like to do the hybrid mode thing so i also look for a 22mm tube that is 20 x1 threaded.......there are more hybrid accessories/Atty's for 20 x 1 threaded tubes and some top-caps & switches are interchangeable for a wide variety of aesthetic options.

$18.93 Brass + Stainless Steel Mechanical Mod (Full Set) - brass tube at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

$19.39 Stainless Steel Rebuildable Atomizer - 22mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

no name Papus clone & Heron Tank...also both are 20 x 1 threaded and the Heron also comes with a 510 adapter if you choose to not use it in hybrid mode or to use it on another mod

also if your interested in ModTube thread sizes and listings for some hybrid Atty's, here is a compiled listing, most are authentic but 1:1 clones would be the same size

For some reason I had the idea that you were new to vaping and more than likely didn't want to mess with an atomizer that you had to build your own coils on ... That's why all I did was talk about clearomizers with you.

You did want to know what the most common sized "tank" was, and that we said was a 22mm.

Since you mentioned "tank", I didn't think you were wanting a RDA.

oh well ...
