diamond dual mouthpeice problem

I am having a problem with the clear dual coil mouthpieces. The airway on the mouthpiece is on the side and on the ones i got the center is closed. When you put it in the center portion of the mouthpeice covers the air hole in the batting. when I try do draw on it the vapor is forced to go through the batting to get over to the side where the air passage is. The result of this is that the juice percolates on the side with the air passage and keeps spitting out in my mouth. If I just use a regular drip tip or anything else for that matter it works fine.
This appears to me to be a design flaw. Is there a planned fix for this or will I need to mod these tips to work right? Or am I just doing something wrong?

Also if the gods are paying attention: I think all clear type cartos (ce2 or vortex or duel coil) should start using the type of base as the clear ce2 with the o-ring. I dropped my pv and cracked a tube on a dual coil. It cracked at the base and was letting air in. I could have prolly kept on using it if it had the o-ring. I tried to use an extra ce2 tube but i couldn't get it on the base. I will try a syringe tube when I get some more.

humm I hope everybody is ok !?!
Anyway if anybody cares I found you can pop out the center of the mouth end and then just drill a hole down through the center of the mouthpiece. Use whatever size drill bit fits in the existing opening. After that just put the little center piece back in pop it on the carto and go to town. Also if you trim a little excess length off the end these tips fit and work quite nicely on my clear ce2s. I didnt think I would like the flat tip but after drilling several out I have found I like them almost as much as my regular tips and have put a couple in the rotation cuz i was short on drip tips lol

I use Drip tip too..

P.S. the alternative is to cut the bottom part of the mouthpiece about 1/4 centimeter

I just dont have enough drip tips lol. Once drilled out thought these tips are pretty nice. I even put one on a ce2. I like that when I put it in my mouth, since it is flat, the button on my epower then ends up in the same place and I dont have to feel for it. With the round drip tip sometimes I cant find the button it ends up on the wrong side or whatever.
and thanks VirusZ I did that too on the couple I put on ce2. With the extra hole drilled you dont have to cut it at all which I like because its harder for the longer part to get knocked out by accident.
And I like the extra hole so there is no or less restriction on the airflow.

scissors... didnt even think to try that lol i think the drill bit was a 1/8 inch. I have one of those drill bit sets from the dollar store has a bunch of different sizes - i just picked the biggest one that fit in the opening after the little plug was removed. Ive been using them so much now mt regular drip tips almost feel too big now
