I have V2 808 batts which if I understand things correctly are unregulated 808 batts. Anyway I filled up and put on a volt carto and it vaped like a champ for about 20 puffs until I got that bad burning taste. Topped off the carto to be safe but still got the same taste. I only tried one carto so it is possible i just picked a bad one.

I could swear I say a thread in the last few days mentioning volt cartos and regulated/ unregulated 808 batts but cant seem to find it. Is it possible that these cartos would not work on my batts ( which would suck because I purchased 5 packs of them lol- not to mention the fact that I was in vaping heaven for those 1st 20 puffs)?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

They work ... but the VOLT and Maxx Fusion (and probably Halo G6) cartomizers are intended for use on the regulated 3.6V batteries they are sold with. I believe that the burnt taste is due to using them on unregulated "3.7V" batteries, which start out as high as 4.2V fully charged. Try them on a VOLT batt and see how you like them.
