Thought Id try mbv out, maybe just to early and needs to steep? They where bottled 6days ago.
Tried 5/8 flavors on a rda switching cotton each time, they all taste the same to me sadly chemical flavor.

I been vaping pg30/vg70 12mg and the vendor I been using is pretty heavy on flavor. I switched to a kayfun v4 from a nautilus mini about a week before I ordered and the th was slightly tougher so I decided to go down a notch to 6mg, I kinda guessed and got 20/80 6mg with 2flavor shots in all. Did I kill them all with over dose flavor? Or they just need some time maybe?

Thanks.

MBV generally need time to age. Take the caps off and let them breathe for a day or two, put the caps back on and let them sit for a week or so.

Some liquids won't get better, but some might, so it's worth a try.

I've found their flavorings are perfumey and almost have a soapy note to them, so I would try to order with no extra flavoring.

You know, anything I've ordered from MBV in the last year was pretty flavorless when I first got it. (With a couple of exceptions.) Most of the flavors got to be really good - but only after I had set them aside and ignored them for several months - not kidding. I have ordered from them from waaay back when James was just getting the place off the ground and something definitely changed at some point regarding why most of the flavors I order have to sit and age for so long before they taste like anything. It's not like they are under-flavored - and my PG/VG and nic profile hasn't changed over the years - they just seem to require a ridiculously long aging time.

What in the shade said above...I tried them when I first started ordering online and found one in the GWAR line I liked ok...gave away or threw out the rest...after a couple months...they just never got better...well, I take that back I have been able to vape about 15ml of a 30ml bottle of Guava (simple flavor 20/80 12 mg) otherwise I was disappointed and won't reorder. I like high VG, if that is something you are looking for...Can I recommend taking a look at Velvet Cloud Vapor...ALL VG and I just started ordering from them but they are great and price is every bit as good as MBV...but much higher quality IMO...just a thought. I have found a few companies that are reasonable and better quality than MBV...I know they have fan's and no offense to anyone that likes them...they just we not for me...Good luck!!

Hmm guess that's what I get for trying to save money. Just so much good reviews and sadly there not even vapable atm, I've tryed 3$ 50ml* china e liquid that tasted much better. Just trying to expand my vendor range, everything I tried hasn't come close to my only local vendor. Maybe they made me spoiled not sure really.

Edit: Tried the last 2, and 3 of the others again. Only 2 i could even pick a slight notice of was bubblegum and blue moo. Oddly those are the only 2 with a tint in color .

I've not ordered from them but usually two extra flavor shots means you're going to dilute by 50%. Try a few 3ml experiments with different dilutions of your juice to PG/VG. Try 1ml ejuice to 2mls VG/PG then half and half, then 2 to 1 , etc.. You should find the sweet spot with a little tweeking.

If it were me, I would let them steep for a while. When I got Blue Moo, it took several weeks before I was happy with the taste, and that was without flavor shots at 50/50 pg/vg. We received Bubblegum as a free sample, and while it is OK, it is not one that I was overly fond of.

It may turn out that Mt. Baker Vapor is not the right vendor for you, but I would at least give the flavors you got a few weeks and another try before writing them off.

You know, in order to get my kiddos to eat veggies it takes 7-10 tries before something becomes palatable.... Maybe the juice doesn't improve maybe we adjust to it.....just an idea.

IV sat mine here maybe two months I'm ready to trash them or donate them, I don't care how cheap it is, I ordered no flavor shots as a baseline. The 4 bottles vary from no color to tons of color and no flavor to over flavor. That's not really quality control.
To add 10 drops to everything and send it out the door isn't even discount quality, to add and save the recipe because it tastes like toffee at such and such a level would be a better buisiness model. If I cooked like they make juice my family would fire me....
Oh yea Hun there's spagetti sauce in there you just have to wait 2 months. And if you want to taste the sauce you have to order extra.... Sounds like a marketing tactic that is pretty common, borderline illegal for most other buisiness's. By the time you figure out the recipe yourself your 4 15mls deep, so three I didn't enjoy but the fourth after 4-5 months of work on my part is good?? That's not a deal.

No not really. I'll never buy from them again, they are selling the idea of butter toffee, you have to pay more to actually get it, but it's a gamble because now your over flavored. Frustration I don't need. If I want to DIY, I will but not in this manner.
I do steep and I don't mind, but this is a little overboard at this point. Steeping and figuring out flavor is paying triple for DIY. I don't buy an empty pack of socks for $7.99 in a sale only to find out there's 1 pair in there and I carry the same expectations in the vendors I deal with.

The most important thing you need to do (IMHO) with MBV juices is to air them out. Take off the caps, squeeze the air in and out a couple times, put the cap back on, shake well. Do this once or twice a day until the perfumey smell goes away (Usually a couple of days).

Yup they'll probably be fine - take the caps and dripper tips off for a day or so,
shake often. Then put the dripper tips and caps back on and put them away
for a few weeks. The more complex the juice with them (tobacco etc.) the longer
they'll take to mature. I have my favorites with them and simply order my juice
a month in advance, easy peasy.

Stalkster,

I'm sorry you didn't get a nicer welcome here; so Hello fellow Floridian.

You mentioned you used a local source. We have some very good mixers here in FL. I've had my best luck working local as I can taste, adjust, taste and so on; can't do it long distance.

MBV has some GREAT stuff. You might consider just giving them a call, I'm sure they could help you adjust it and not waste the juice that you bought. You may very well have gone over the flavor peak as mentioned and they would know best if that's the case. I did it once with my DIY flavorings from them, it tasted awful, I gave them a call, we added straight VG and it was great.

Good luck with it.

I've bought MBV juice about a month and a half ago and not much flavor (tobacco flavorings) IMO either. I've just chalked it up to 52 years of Tobacco (either smoked or chewed) prolly KILLED every taste bud I ever had, Food doesn't have much flavor either for me. Maybe I should try this aging/steeping ya'll are talking about and see if that helps me ? MBV is not the Lone Ranger either, there's about 6 other venders that I find pretty tasteless (no pun intended). I've only been in this e-cig thing for almost 6 months and thats the way it's been for me since day one. So, I'll blame myself first until I'm proven wrong though.
