Did I ruin my battery?

So, a cheap ego-510 connector caused a short, the center pin kinda got out of center and hit the side. Took me a bit of exploring to figure out what was going on while working on a new mod. Anyway, my lil efest 18350 got kinda warm to the touch a couple times. It's still showing over 3.6 charge, but I'm wondering if I damaged it. Anyone? Am I being over cautious to trash it, or what?

It is fine, once the battery starts venting it does not stop until all lithium manganese or lithium ion is expelled. The battery will be noticeably destroyed and anything touching it i.e. your mod will as well.

Prior to the venting thing...your bat will not cool down. Most of the time you won't get a volt read because the chem balance is gone. The bat will usually keep getting hotter until it vents

Ahh, good. Thanks! I thought it would be fine as it cooled off fast, but I wanted a lil reassurance.
Btw, a lil heat shrink fixed the shotty connector.
