some people don't care to do their own research and just listen to the birdy that tweets in their ear cant really do anything but try to explain it and after that if they don't like what they hear then its up to them to choose ignorance or knowledge.
I always made a rule of not listening to advice from strangers in bars. At the very least, always question their source(s). Chances are they heard it from "someone" or "saw it on the news".... And that includes all sorts of advice, not just vaping specific.
I'm always shocked by people doing this. I'm not sure why. When you think about it, people love educating people on things they know nothing about. It happens all the time. People want to talk, but they don't want to do any research. When I don't know anything about a subject, i like to get out of the way. You learn a lot more that way, assuming someone in the conversation really does know what they're talking about. Often times, it's pretty easy to tell who that person is.
The ignorance some people have to vaping is incredible. I find that most people that are "against" vaping are also uneducated on the subject. You just have to shrug those kind of negative people off
I have found it to be the same as Ice CreamMan, they are uneducated and fail at doing their own research therefore they have to scrutinize every little detail that we do because they feel that they are some how "saving our lives by doing us this favor!"
That's all the proof you need that stupidity has no limits.

ahahah, this topic has been beaten into the ground by this point, hasnt it? nobody should hold frustration or anger toward people like that. you cant change anybodys mind. its human nature.

If the media started reporting that Volkswagons were made out of sugar and lollipops and built by Umpalumpas, somewhere between 50 and 60% of the people would believe it.

He was aparently in a "Vape-friendly" bar, not a vaping bar.
I think the problem actually comes from something more insidious than stupidity or even uncaring.
I truly believe it comes from generations of being told to "believe the experts*", those "experts*" being news, scientists, government, etc. Now, at one point in time, that was fine, as there was a different level of integrity placed in and expected of those "experts*". Now that almost all of the "experts*" have a major financial reason for putting out their views, all of those views should be questioned.
*My dad used to tell me this really stupid joke as a kid. "What's the definition of an expert? Split the word into its 2 parts "ex" -meaning old or unknown and "spurt" -meaning a drip under pressure.

The couple times I got that response to my vaping I said, "where did you find that information, from a headline on the internet?" and both times the respondent sheepishly remarked "yes" and I educated them a little.
"I read it on the internet", "the government said", and "I heard it from a guy in a bar" should be added to the world's greatest lies.
Would those be the same "experts" that state daily that smoking kills?
Yet Mr " Caring " suggested to stop vaping and just smoke instead
That, in my opinion, is stupidity in it's highest form
