I started to vape four days ago and havnt smoked since. I smoked a pack and a half for years and when I started vaping I havnt craved a cig since then. But now I chain vape like crazy, my room gets foggy and I go through multiple batteries a day. I like RDAs it's fun to build coils but I'm not good at it lol. How has vaping treated you guys?

I bought a cigalike kit to use for a week long event to supply me nicotine when I wasn't going to be able to smoke. I had it and used it off and on as a novelty for about five months before I decided to use it to help me quit smoking. It took me about a week before I quit completely (that first cigarette of the day was the hardest to give up). That was over a year and a half ago and electronic cigarettes were pivotal to help me quit a 21 year PAD habit.

My 11 year old has been begging me for a year to try the ecig. I got a pretty bad case of bronchitis in May. It's REALLY humid in. Houston and between the bronchitis and the humidity one day I felt like I couldn't breathe. I thought to myself "If this is anywhere close to how emphysema feels then IM DONE SMOKING!" That was a Thursday. The next day I bought my starter kit and threw the rest of the pack I had left in the trash.

My 11 year old was so proud of me he cried and my 4 year old was jumping up and down and hugging me. :). It solidified my decision. I want to be around to know my grandchildren someday. And my kids want me healthy and alive. I only wish I had had that "lightbulb moment" years ago!!!! I'll never touch another analog cig for the rest of my life.

Great post mate :toast:

Anyway, about me now:

e-cigs have done it for me too. I was on 24mg for most of the last six months and only just stepped down to 18. I don't think it's worth cutting the nic too soon and risking relapse myself.

It nice to have a vape with a coffee or some booze and not have that fear of death any more; I quite like not having fear of death up to 40 times a day.

almost 2 months now...both my husband and myself after 27+ years. bought our e-cigs at a gas station as an experiment, may not have been the best place to start, but it did the trick. been to a couple of the available vaping stores in our area, and building on equipment and juices...neither one of us want nor intend to ever pick up a cigarette again EVER

Yes! Both myself and hubby, he could smoke 75%-100% of a pack in a day and he is a religious vaper now. He smoked for 15 plus years. Me, I wasn't a heavy smoker nor was I a 'lifer' at smoking analogs. I could go through maybe half a pack or less at times a day and had only been smoking for about 2 years if that. We started out on the ecigs that looked like regular cigarettes and have expanded now to a VV SMOK winder with a kanger protank II & air control valve (me), hubby is still on an ego battery and mini nova and his one juice that he likes the best, smooth menthol lol I am a habitual flavor switcher, constantly trying new flavors. I still have a regular cigarette every now and then but as soon as it touches my lips I remember why we started on the ecigs in the first place.

I usually averaged a pack and a quarter (25) Camel Light's a day.
Walked in, bought an Ego starter kit and that was it.
And the whole setup (batteries, cheap tanks, not so great juice) wasn't even all that good...

I went in to it with a "what the hell, it probably won't work" attitude and I've been cig free for 9 months.

Every other time I tried to quit (seven times over the years), I ended up starting again and smoking more than I did before.

Vaping is believing!

I bought a kanger evod kit to "supplement" my smoking in areas of work i couldnt smoke but after 1 day of vapeing i completely quit analogues just didnt have the urge to smoke. i have spent every penny i have saved not smokeing on vape gear though lol i think i might be more addicted to buying vape gear than the nicotine itself.

I smoked anologues for a little over 22 years and had tried nic gum , nic losanges ,the patch, nicorette inhaler, cold turkey, champix, wellbuterin, oh and that horrible mist thing none were succesful past a day or 2. I hadnt even thought abought quiting in almost a year when i picked up vaping and ill never look back
