But now I chain vape like crazy, my room gets foggy and I go through multiple batteries a day. I like RDAs it's fun to build coils but I'm not good at it lol. How has vaping treated you guys?

It took me about 2 weeks to completely quit. During that 2 weeks, I only smoked a couple of cigarettes per day vs. the pack and a half that I smoked prior. I am now approaching a month of being tobacco free. I have craved a cigarette once which quickly subsided. Another time I was following a smoker on a sidewalk and his cigarette smelled really good, but that didn't trigger a craving.

IMHO, vaping is better than smoking in just about every way.

I smoked for 26 years. I have tried patches, gum, medications (Chantix had potential, but the dreams were tough!), and even acupuncture. Vaping is the only thing to ever work. Now, on to step #2, quit vaping.

Yes! Nearly a year ago I bought a bunch of disposables in various flavors (White Cloud). Opened one, marveled at the cig-like look, tried it, and my hair nearly stood on end with excitement. It was even more realistic than I'd thought possible, yet it was tasty, and no stink. Within a few puffs I realized I'd be able to quit with e-cigs. It took only a couple days to switch completely, without foul mood, anxiety, or other withdrawal symptoms.

If not for e-cigs, I'd still be fooling myself - smoking while convincing myself I'd quit 'tomorrow'. They're the best thing that's ever been developed for smokers. :)

Yep. I had pretty much given up on quitting, but then late last year, I came across a number of articles in the media lamenting the fact that the FDA wasn't doing its job because it hadn't yet regulated e-cigs. Being an anarchist at heart, I figured I should check 'em out before the goobernment ruined 'em. So I ordered a starter kit from Halo (which I don't recommend because they continue to use the now obsolete 808 threads and aren't compatible with much of anything else) and decided to see how much of my 2 PAD habit I could replace with 'em. First full day, I went from 40 to 4. Second 2. Third and fourth: 1. Fourth day (180 days ago today!) I drove through a snow storm to a B&M, bought some better gear (Pro Tanks and Spinners) and higher VG juice and that was the end of my smoking. Now I have several liters of 100 mg nic base in the freezer, a lifetime supply of Kanthal and CelluCotton, and there's NFW I'm going back to smoking no matter what the nannies at he FDA do.

I smoked over a pack a day for over 20 years. Today is actually my one month anniversary from quitting. I've talked to various people that i work with since i quit, and now 4 other people from work have quit and started vaping. There are a few more that said they might be going to the local vape shop and get the starter kits that they are having a sale on this weekend. I have zero urge to smoke now.

I have been vaping for about a month now and have just about quit the analogs now. I still have one every now and then but that will subside eventually I am sure of it. It all started when a friend of mine gave me some confiscated gear. It didn't take long to realize I needed better gear. Now that the gear is improving it is getting better. I have also tried patches, pills, cold turkey and many others to include cigalikes before to no avail. I might add that it was never my intention to quit, but have a back up for when I couldn't smoke. I am finding that I prefer to vape now.

I started vaping on 18/07/13 and haven't craved or smoked analogue since, I started with a ego battery and ce4 clearo, I upgraded soon after to an evod bcc (which I still use for certain flavours, then came a davide mini, I wanted a bigger tank to hold more juice as I Vape a tank and a half in a day from the davide, but I don't like the top heavy look and feel on the ego battery, I haven't been able to find or afford a decent mod so until now I have stuck with the above, however tomorrow, and I can't express just how excited I am, I will be buying an Innokin vtr with the iclear 30s (as standard) so I can then use the ego stuff as a spare system for when I don't need/want to be carrying a brick lol

I have a mate who when I told him I'd started vaping tried to hide the laughter and kept saying he'd never bother as he didn't see the benefits, he's been vaping a few weeks now and at first was still hanging onto the analogues, I told him that while I still had access to tobacco I had the urge to use it, once binned I didn't bother, even when people smoke tobacco around me it doesn't bother me, he's just bought his second bottle of juice and it's sinking in already that 20 cigs per day is almost as much as 20mls of juice that lasts 2 weeks, that is I think the clincher with smokers, if they just tried for a few weeks they would see the price benefit alone is enough of an incentive never mind the pleasant smell from your person and your clothes and your car/house if you smoke there too, I don't get why people complain about not being able to Vape in public buildings, so, you couldn't smoke in them either but I bet you weren't that bothered about it then, until people understand it the rules won't change, smoking was seen as the thing to do many years ago and it change to a big no-no, the way I see it is it will be the other way round, now it's a no-no to Vape (from he non vapers) so you can't do it here or there, in a few years it will be encouraged to Vape wherever you like so it's just a waiting game

Stay happy and keep vaping

I was a 2 pack a day smoker and I quit within 2 days, of getting my 1st decent vape setup. Vision Spinner with a Kangertech T3S, now I have a Vamo V5 and a Kayfun on the way. It's only been 2.5 Weeks since I quit and I'm already at a point where you could offer me a pack of smokes for free and I'd probably just blow vape in your face and laugh :vapor: Every morning I'm stuck in a small office with 3 smokers for about 30min, and I have to deal with everyone smoking on break, It literally doesn't bother me AT ALL, I just don't care about cigarettes anymore.

I was a pack and a half a day smoker prior to vaping. Today is the end of the 8th week that I've been *seriously* vaping. The first week I did really well... not even smoking a full pack. I actually carried a part of a pack around but never had one. I've had some stress and relapsed some... but I've done the math and instead of smoking 84 packs I've only smoked 20. That's 1280 cigs that I've avoided, and I can assure you that I breath far easier.

Make sure you keep good juice and good equipment on hand. That, and the fact that I'm going through the most stressful time that I've ever experienced in life, is one of the main reasons why I haven't quit completely. I'm back down to around 4 or 5 cigs a day now and I'm going to try and stop completely this week.
