Did you start vaping as a stepping stone to quit or a permanent replacement to cigs?

For me its a stepping stone for quitting. Vaping took me by storm. With all the Mods, Attys, and e-juices out there I can mix and match them to my liking....it too much fun. Let me say this, if you think quitting analog was hard, just wait until you decide to quit vaping. I hope I don't go down that path. Vape Strong!!!:vapor:

Do you plan to wean yourself off vaping as well or are you using it as a permanent replacement to smoking cigarettes?

Personally, I got into vaping as a baby step plan to quitting smoking/vaping all together, it's enjoyable but I still view it as a habit. I figure in the next 12 months I'll wean myself off nicotine and then I'll just have to overcome the oral fixation.

I started vaping to quit smoking as I was a pretty hard core smoker. Went from 40 cigs a day to 4 overnight. While I don't plan to quit vaping any time soon, I have been lowering my nicotine and at least lessen the addiction as much as possible. I had smoked for 28 years, realistically I'm not going to quit everything and be successful. I loved to smoke and at least I am off that, well see how it goes. Best of luck to you however you decide to go with it.

I started to vape so I could breath plain and simple, the wheezing and coughing were embarrassing. I took a chance with this new vapeing stuff and it payed off. I was astounded that a lifelong awful habit could be eliminated in a matter of days. It took a few months to truly(and painless I might add) convince myself there would be no relapse. Well, I thought, how hard could it be to go to 0mg? Started DIY and dropped my mg/ml on each new mix and before I new it I had done it. That was about 2 yrs ago and I am still vapeing although not like I used to. Most days I probably drip 1/2 ml and I find myself forgetting to vape more and more. No goal just a natural progression for me. Would I like to quit...sure. I believe vapeing is safer than smoking but no one is ever going to convince me that even 0mg vapeing is just as safe as not vapeing.

To all that quit smoking I applaud you!

I just wanted to quit cigs and I did for about 2 weeks cold turkey without anything and then my gf got us vivi novas and some different juices in a starter kit and ive been vaping every day since then, been about 5 months and not one real cig. I love vaping and i dont know if ill ever stop, but with vaping i dont feel the urges for nicotine like i did with real cigs so i may stop one day. Right now im just loving the pro tank 2 and the itaste vv battery.

Like most I've read here, I wanted to get away from the hold (50+ yr) traditional cigs had on me. A friend loaned me his eGo for a few hours. Bought mine the next day (Apr 18) and haven't had a stinkie since ...... and don't miss them. Don't miss paying the "ransom" at the local cig store, either. As to quitting totally, we'll see how it goes.......maybe. Kinda hard to teach old dogs new tricks, tho.

I went to vaping to quit analogs. I and my hubby are both 1st degree brown belts preparing to test for black belt level and have found it increasingly difficult to breathe during class. Throw in a few extra pounds and I'm struggling. Also, I recently had a cholesterol check done and it was high along with my bp. I guess we're just trying to get healthy.

Well, I started vaping 4 weeks ago. My intention is to have an alternative to the nasty smoke that keeps me outside when my family is inside. I really never thought it would help me quit smoking. But when i discovered that I didn't need a cigarette, I decided to try to quit.
I called the smokers hotline, and i have a quit coach. They sent me nicotine gum for free. A while back I tried to quit using that, and I became addicted to the gum.... We shall see what happens this time. The amazing thing is that there are many times when I pick up my e-cig instead of chewing the gum. Nice thing is it doesn't tire out my jaw. Ha ha. Also.....i can vape exactly the amount to satisfy my nicotine craving instead of having that nasty gum in my mouth for the duration.
